Claire lied to everyone about the process being successful, and she actually utilized Katrina's eggs. She demanded that Katrina keep the secret or she would not be paid. We arrived at the Parker’s mansion, and once I stepped inside, I gaped at the home’s interior. It was grandiose, the walls and fireplace spoke luxury. Even though there was a kid living here, the house was neat and organized. It was well-designed and equipped with high-technology appliances. Though in my amazement, I couldn’t help but feel nervous for the possibility of Travis appearing and seeing me here in his house.


‘‘Please have a seat, Miss Katrina…’’ Amy told me as we reached a part of the living area where a small table was set, adorned with freshly baked bread and sliced cakes.


‘‘Let’s eat first before we play the piano, Miss Kat!’’ Joe stated with a broad smile as he started to devour the strawberry flavoured cake. ‘‘Yum!’’


I smiled as I grabbed for the glass of orange juice and took a sip, while I continued to watch Joe eat clumsily. ‘‘Slowly, Joe…’’ I said as I reached for the table napkin and wiped the icing smudged on his face.
