The journey back home was silent. The only thing I could hear was my own heartbeat, and the faint sound of my stomach growling. During the ride, Raphael didn’t even bother to throw me a glance. He was focused on the road the entire time.

The fact that he was always there to save me whenever I needed him to was something for which I was extremely grateful. Despite my desire to lean closer to him and express my gratitude for his presence in my life, I was unable to do so because I was being prevented by an unknown force. I was very scared to take a big step, he might misinterpret my actions.

We were still not talking when we arrived at his house. My mind was filled with a lot of questions that I wanted to ask him, but it was all stuck in my head.
