I do

Haiser could remember it all. He'd been holding his soon-to-be wife. Her radiant smile and, the tears of joy that had been streaking down that moment. Everything had been right in the world, everything as it should be.

Boom!

A missile had hit just outside the parking lot, destroying all the small hovercrafts and aircars, ensuring no one would get away. The next moments, even the ships in the hangars were blown up. The dreadnought was a fierce weapon of war, destroying everything in its wake.

Haiser fought his way through the fog, through the gun fire and anything that came his way. He held on to her hand, never letting go. In more times than he could count, Haiser had had to face down countless enemies, caught in an unwinnable fight.

Somehow, through his training, and a lot of heaven defying luck, they had made it past blockade after blockade, overcoming insurmountable odds. Unfortunately, they had not gotten out unscathed.

By the time Haiser had commandeered a ship and started the flight, Alma had several fatal shots, it was a miracle she was holding on together. Haiser was all but dead, and it was by sheer willpower that he was still moving.

The T63 Alpha Dragon Turbo Ship, one of the fastest scout ships and the most advanced stealth tech available. When Haiser had seen it, it felt as though he had cashed in all his lucky chips at once.

However, despite it been such a lucky find, commandeering it and making it past the dreadnought was a whole different ball game. Despite being heavily wounded, Haiser never gave up. He fought like a demon from hell, unleashing hell and rampage.

With brute force, timing and techniques, luck, and some hesitation on the part of the army, the prince made it through. The turbo ship was in tatters, looking as though it was about to break down any moment.

It initially had three fully functioning med bays. Unfortunately, there were special space missiles designed to target electrical and medical compartments, and he had taken quite some hits, and right now, they only had one functional med bay.

Med bays were revolutionary technology. Built like capsule, it even had mechanical arms that could shoot laser beams and perform laser surgery in high speed. This is what he was counting on. It was by sheer luck that they even had the one med bay functioning.

Luckily, that was all he needed. Looking into her eyes, he was sure. It was always her, and now, even without hesitation, he would give up his life in a heart beat. The last thing Haiser remembered was watching the mechanical arms of the med bay running up and down Alma's body.

He stumbled on the floor, and with a sigh, he finally let go.

Images flashing.

Sounds all around. Who knew death was such a trip.

"Hello, can you hear me?" Haiser heard someone calling out. They sounded like they were in a deep well, or maybe it was him in it. Gradually, he started rising, things were getting clearer. His mind was clearing.

"Baby! Baby! Baby! You're alive!" This was followed by multiple kisses all over his face. He could his face was being cradled, almost to the point of smothering. His shock, fear and confusion rescinded much quicker now that he knew she was safe. They had made it.

If this was a dream, he did not want to wake up. He grabbed on to her and wouldn't let go.

"Ahem," A woman cleared her voice.

"What a beautiful moment, and you spoiled it." Another complained. There were sounds of agreement from other people in the room.

The two were alerted to the fact that they were not alone. Reluctantly, they let each other go, but not before Alma sneaked in a long smooch on the lips, and mischievously whispering, "I do."

Turning around, even Alma blushed when she saw more than five women looking over, each blushing and celebrating them. For a moment, it felt like a continuation of their wedding, and the women were the bridal party. With that in mind, Haiser grabbed Alma and brought her in for another kiss, this one much more sensual. They almost had to be pulled apart.

"What now?" A well dressed middle aged handsome man sat on his high back leather office chair, his feet on his mahogany desk. He'd been focused on his communicator when his assistant came rushing in. Seeing her anxious look, Kai knew it was going to be long day.

"We have some guests sir," Sharlene, the assistant, answered.

"What kind of guests,"

"Off-worlders, sir, came in with a military ship," Sharlene.

"Come on, give it to me straight, you know I don't like it when you do this." Kai was getting exasperated.

"Alright, I think they have connections with royalty, as in, King's regiment," Sharlene's eyes were glowing with wonder and worry. The wonder part was because of how lofty the potential guests were. While they, the Tres family, lorded over Planet Tres, getting in contact with such people was beyond them.

"Come down, such people wouldn't come here to us directly. They probably just looking to resupply, just let them in and make their stay as comfortable as possible," Kai said as he went back to looking at his communicator.

"Uhm, sir, they requested to meet with you, specifically."

Pampered brats. Kai couldn't help thinking so. Just because they had such pull, they had to insist on meeting the chancellor. However, he couldn't turn them down.

"Alright, lead them to the grand reception hall, I will meet you there. Notify Nani and the others, have them prepare," Kai said as he stood up. He had predicted it. However, he still wondered why they would want to meet him. Did they think that he was so idle that he could tend to every person who came visiting.
