No wonder the aura here is so mixed.
Alex had been sensing that the hellish aura here was unusually strong. He had been curious about who exactly possessed the ability connected to the Limbo.
Originally, he guessed it was some demon from hell, but thinking it through carefully, probably only the future Supreme Sorcerer—the lord of Limbo—or Magik, the mutant skilled in both magic and mutant powers, could have this ability.
Magik has spatial teleportation powers, and she once accidentally teleported to the dimension of Limbo. There, she spent a long time practicing dark magic.
Most people think Magik's mutant power is the ghostly blue sword she wields, but in fact, that sword is merely a soul blade she conjures from her own soul—a form of dark magic she learned.
Many mutants have the talent to learn magic, but few actually practice it seriously. There are many similarities between mutant powers and dark magic.
For example, why did Magik accidentally teleport to Limbo? It's because her mutant power of spatial teleportation uses the Limbo as a "transit station" for spatial jumps.
Every time she teleports, Magik first projects herself into the Limbo, then transitions to the target location in the real world, achieving teleportation.
This is similar to Nightcrawler's spatial jumps.
Of course, this is an exception. In material worlds without the Limbo, their teleportation shortens spatial distance to jump, like in the Ruin universe.
If it was just hell's aura alone, it wouldn't be this strong. Seeing Cloak and Dagger appear now, Alex nodded slightly.
Just like Magik can connect to Limbo dimension, Cloak's powers link him to a special dimension—the Darkforce Dimension.
The Darkforce Dimension, also called the dark matter dimension, is a pocket dimension filled with peculiar dark energy. This is the power Cloak gained after awakening his abilities.
His body itself is a passage connecting the Darkforce Dimension and the real world. Through this dimension, Cloak has access to many bizarre and strange abilities.
The fusion of this strange dark energy with the hellish aura greatly intensifies the aura's strength, even boosting Magik's combat power significantly.
On the battlefield:
Magik swung her sword and left a bloody slash on the Sabbac's arm. Scalding molten lava sprayed out, leaving a trail of scorched marks on the ground.
"What are you guys doing here?" After the strike, Magik quickly withdrew, fearing the demon's counterattack. At the same time, she turned to ask Cloak and Dagger who had just arrived.
"Ah, it's a long story."
Dagger was a woman in white clothes. She hurried to Magik's side, sighed, and said hurriedly,
"Now's not the time for explanations. Let's deal with this demon first. By the way, is this demon also a creature created by Mirage?"
"Doesn't seem like it."
Magik shook her head slightly.
"Mirage's power manifests the greatest fears in a person's mind, but this guy doesn't belong to any of us. I've never seen such a powerful demon even in hell."
"That's strange. The aura on this demon can't be faked. Could it be that some other monster has come from another world?" Cloak appeared beside them and said gravely.
At this moment, Magik tightly gripped her soul blade and spoke seriously: "No matter where this damned thing came from, we must destroy it here. Otherwise, this world will be doomed."
As her words fell, the men and women around her all nodded in agreement and unleashed their powers, facing the Sabbac who was rising again and healing its wounds, ready to fight.
To be honest, even though Magik had faced many hell demons before, this was the first time she encountered such a terrifying existence. Just standing before Sabbac gave her the feeling of confronting a true lord of hell.
From this, it was clear how horrifying Sabbac's strength was—at this moment, it was by no means weaker than any hell entity.
No wonder—after all, Sabbac possessed the combined power of six demon lords. Its aura was as strong as that of a true lord of hell.
If there was any difference, it was only that Sabbac didn't have its own dimension.
True hell lords each have their own domain, and because of this, they can freely draw energy from their territory, making their power nearly limitless.
Without this, Sabbac was uncertain if it could really defeat a true hell lord in battle. However, after being devoured by Alex, Alex effectively became Sabbac's "domain."
With the Ruin universe as a hidden energy reserve, Sabbac now could basically go toe-to-toe with any dimensional lord.
Such an existence would find it no difficulty to destroy the four mutants in front of it (Cloak and Dagger also had mutant genes).
It was only because Alex wanted to see these warriors' combat strength that Sabbac hadn't unleashed full power. Otherwise, when he arrived here, Magik and Wolfsbane wouldn't have been able to hold out so long.
Just as the four prepared to charge, Sabbac's crimson skin was suddenly covered by shadows.
Before anyone could react, the enormous demon abruptly transformed into a pitch-black shadow, continuously twisting and splitting apart.
This bizarre scene made the mutants halt in their tracks. They looked at the changing demon in confusion, their eyes growing more alert rather than less.
"That's enough."
At that moment, a strange male voice sounded from behind them, startling them all.
They suddenly turned around and saw a man holding a black umbrella, his expression calm as he stared at them. Behind the man stood a woman with orange hair.
"Who are you?"
Magik could guarantee she never sensed the man's approach—she couldn't even tell when he had appeared here.
Seeing the restless energy from the group, Alex slightly waved his hand.
"Don't be nervous. I'm not your enemy. In other words, like you, I'm not from this world. I came here specifically to find you."
As Alex made the gesture, the demon energy that had taken the form of Sabbac immediately responded to the call, quickly flying into Alex's hand, obedient like a little puppy.
"Did you release this demon?" Cloak frowned slightly.
He didn't relax despite Alex's calm tone; instead, he looked at Alex with hostility, as if staring at a ruthless supervillain.
"This is just one way to use power. Aren't you also connected to a dimension controlled by a dark lord? So why can't I use it if you can?" Alex smiled faintly.
Cloak squinted, about to speak, but Alex interrupted him.
"Besides, it's just a hell demon. The lady here has an even stronger hellish aura. If it weren't for Sabbac, I wouldn't have found you so quickly, would I?"
Hearing Alex's words, the four mutants present calmed down slightly. Although they didn't completely drop their guard, it was clear their hostility had lessened.
Staring directly at Alex, Magik stepped forward a couple of steps.
"You said you're not from this world. How can you prove that?"
"I think Sabbac's appearance proves it. After all, this universe doesn't even have a so-called Limbo. The place here that can be called 'hell'—isn't it something you brought along?" Alex asked back.
In fact, Alex truly hadn't expected that after Magik came here, she'd bring a fragment of the hell frontier dimension with her. Though small and faint, it was undeniably a corner of hell.
Hearing this, Magik fell silent. She hadn't told anyone about this, and the fact that Alex noticed it proved how extraordinary he was.
"What's your purpose in finding us?" Magik pondered for a moment and then asked.
"The same as these two." Alex pointed to Cloak and Dagger. "I guess you're not from the same universe either. The fact that you've gathered here is probably to investigate why you all ended up in this place."
From the moment he recognized their identities, Alex was sure they didn't come from the same world.
Although they all belonged to the X-Men timeline, the time branches they came from were completely different nodes. Miss Minutes's soul snapshot had already proven this.
And this raised a new question:
There isn't just one portal connecting to other universes.
Elsewhere, unnoticed, there may be many more spatial rifts connecting various timelines!
