Xavier's anger

"Start," he didn't need to say anything else to the people in the room for them to know that they needed to begin the meeting. He looked like he wanted to be anywhere but there and yet he was still making them go through this 'make a mistake and die' literally situation. It was almost like he got off on other people's miseries and the more time each of them spent in his presence the more true the words had started to sound. "The shares we wanted to acquire in Gildon group of companies has finally been finalized," a woman in her early thirties spoke in a barely controlled shaky voice, trying to not make any mistakes as this was the first time she had been made to talk in front of the boss. "Our stocks have also risen by 10 percent over the last...the blue blue eyes that suddenly turned in her direction to narrow at her had her stop reading at once. She gulped at his intense scrutiny wondering what she had said wrong. His eyes travelled from the woman to every single person in the room and he saw how they all tried to avert their gaze, looking anywhere but him. "Did you just say the stocks increased by just 10 percent?"his voice sounded calm, controlled but they had all known him a long time to decipher the storm brewing in his eyes. Everyone shuddered in their seat, wanting to answer his question but afraid to incur his wrath. "Hmmm," he leaned against the swivel chair he was sitting in. "Since everyone seems to be deaf I guess you all are not equipped to work in this company anymore," he sounded bored, almost as if he couldn't wait to get out of there but they knew he was just a silent predator and a calm sadist is all. That man was as cunning as a fox in sheep's clothing. "Yes...yes sir the stocks increased to 10...10...You should be ashamed of yourself for having the audacity to tell me that don't you think," the mirth in his eyes twinkled as he cut off the man who had gathered the courage to speak. He silently stared at the people who were shaking under his gaze and he mindlessly twirled the pen in his hand without caring for how they were feeling. He wasn't leaving them alone unless they told him something he wanted to hear and so if they thought he would be so bothered about their squirming and get up to leave then they were welcome to nonchalancy. "S...sir...we...we would make sure to increase it within this week sir," someone finally spoke from the fear induced people sitting across from him and it was exactly what he wanted to hear but also very amusing. "Good," he didn't bother to dismiss anyone as he got up from his chair and left the meeting room without another word. The rest of the information had become irrelevant as he didn't even wait to listen. His personal assistant who had remained like a rock in the ocean finally moved and followed his boss out of the room, looking at everyone as they heaved a sigh of relieve. The young master was the devil's spawn sometimes it was like his main purpose on this earth was to torture people and thrive on how uncomfortable they were. He followed him but also made sure to stay a few paces behind him to not irritate him further. Xavier entered his office and almost shut the door on his assistant's face if he hadn't been fast enough to hold it. He took a seat and stared at his assistant, tilting his head to the side to study him further as if he was trying to find ways of killing him and disposing off his body without anyone finding out. He gulped, moving his weight from one leg to another as he tried to remain steady under his boss's close scrutiny. As if he had suddenly gotten bored of the scene in front of him, he spun the swivel chair around and looked at the view outside of the glass window. Xavier's eyes zeroed in on the billboard right across from where he was sitting and he raised his eyebrows in surprise. It was either he was imagining things or it was really Gianna on that big billboard. He leaned closer to the glass window and his blue eyes took in how breathtakingly gorgeous she looked and the whole enchantress personality she embodied with that smile on her lips. He wondered why she had agreed to do this in the first place because the girl that had come to his office that day didn't look like the type of person to indulge in such open fame and popularity. He turned to his assistant and he found him leaning to look at what he had been staring at. Xavier saw how his eyes sparkled as he continued looking at Gia and something snapped within him. "Eyes on me Malcolm," he called his assistant and it took more than a few seconds for the man to avert his gaze and actually focus his attention back on him. He clenched his teeth. If this was the look every damn man out there had when looking at Gia then he needed to gouge their eyes out for having any lewd thoughts. "Find out why her picture is there and report back to me in less than 10 minutes. Out! Malcolm scurried out of his office in confusion, wanting to ask a lot of questions he hadn't given him the opportunity to ask. He was mad, so mad he couldn't control his anger at the moment. Xavier turned back to the billboard and his eyes hardened. The girl was getting under his skin for a good number of reasons and he didn't find it funny in the slightest. She had started to invade his whole being and he didn't like that one bit. He was the type of person that thrived on control. He was always in control, always knew how to go around his business without anyone crossing their limits with him. It was control that made him the person he was because he always had a lot of it. But that control had long since been on a thin line the moment he saw that tiny girl with green eyes. He wasn't himself when he thought of her, he was out of control whenever he imagined her with another man. It was almost like he didn't recognize this new version of his own self and it drive him to the point of insanity. The need to see her, to keep her to his side and never let go had been the constant overpowering thoughts in his head and in as much as he had tried several times to overcome those absurd urges he failed every time; miserably at that. It was why he hadn't bothered to meet her again because with this possessive trait that seemed to have taken over him he was sure he was going to do something to drive her further away from him. He had decided to be a savior but these fucked up emotions where starting to annoy the hell out of him. He tugged on the necktie that had been suffocating for the past who knows when after seeing Gia's picture and three it God knows where. She was nineteen, fucking nineteen. A child! And yet he just couldn't get her out of his mind. "Fuck me," he muttered. He was well and truly fucked because now she had signed her life away with him and he was going to make sure of it. There was a knock on his door and it pushed open right after. He stared at his assistant with raised eyebrows willing him to speak without having to ask anything. "She modeled for a mall some days back and they used her to advertise for their products," he spoke in a calm tone compared to the tremors in his whole body at the blue blue eyes that were drilling a hole in him. What had he done? "Did she agree to it before they did this?" Since people around him knew he was never one to be satisfied with half answers they made sure to go the extra mile when gathering information for him. "She did agree to do the shoot but I don't think she knew the mall was going to plaster it almost everywhere. "Everywhere? Xavier's eyes narrowed at this. "Yes. The pictures are pasted almost everywhere including the school she attends. It's as if the management of the school is proud to have her as their student," Malcolm wondered why the young master was asking questions about a girl. A freaking girl! It was the first time he had ever seen him this involved and interested in anyone at all especially the opposite sex. If he dared to ask who the girl was he was sure he would have his head for supper so he decided to zip his lips at least for his own good. He wasn't ready to die yet. Xavier was pissed. It was either he blacklisted that mall that pulled this shit of a stunt or order for them to down the billboards. Between the two there was only one person who had a say in it. Gianna. It was time to find her. "Get my car ready. I'm leaving," Malcolm needn't be told twice as he bolted out of the room. The anger surging from the young master was too much for even him to handle. He knew that rage wasn't directed at him but oh boy whoever it was directed at was dead, literally, practically, figuratively because he genuinely looked like he was out to murder someone. He shook the chills all over his body and made his way to the company's garage to get his car ready. Back at the office, Xavier was about to leave his office when his phone rang. His eyes hardened after seeing the caller id wanting to throw the thing away as the person's name kept flashing. His half brother whom he had decided to address as his step brother since he didn't and would never consider him blood related was the one calling. He was already seething and this bastard was going to sour his mood further. He didn't know what he wanted but he wanted to find out the nonsense he was going to spew from his mouth. "Brother," his annoyingly gruff voice tingled in his ears and it was taking everything in him to not lose his cool. "Your nonsense?" It was a direct blow to Jeremy who clenched his teeth at the audacity of his brother to refer to what he had to say to him as nonsense. He schooled his expression and smiled, not that Xavier could see anyways but if it was any consolidation he was going year how excited he was from his voice. "I actually called to share a piece of happy news with you brother. I'm sure you'd be the happiest for me," Jeremy's almost tangible excitement had Xavier nearly groaning in frustration. He hadn't stayed on a phone call with someone for this long and everything about this was grating on his last nerve. Get to the damn point Jeremy. Unlike you, I don't laze around all day without an iota of dignity to be idle," that did more than struck a nerve and bothe men on the other side of their phones wished there wasn't any medium of communication at the moment. "I know you told us to never invite you to the house again but would you change your mind if I told you I was bringing my fiancee home for the blessings of the elders?" Jeremy's inquiring tone was purposeful, like he was trying to make his brother figure out exactly what he meant. It didn't take long for Xavier's mind to register on what he meant and all hell broke lose. "You fucking lay a hand on her and I'll fucking kill you," Xavier had already left his office and was making his way to the garage for his car. He was losing it. Whoa, whoa hold on brother. This sounds too territorial even for a heartless bastard such as you. I mean she's my fiancee you couldn't possibly think I would do anything to hurt her do you? And besides what's there to get worked up for. You haven't even met the girl you're planning on killing me for. Did her picture really thaw your cold heart so much so that the thoughts of her have made you gone feral? None of my business anyways. I don't care what you choose to do with this information but know this brother, she chose me," Jeremy was gloating and he had never felt more alive at the prospect of all he had said to his brother and the reaction he had gotten out of him. Finally! The mighty had fallen. He wished he had been there to see his expression but for now this victory was enough. All Xavier could see was red as he managed to get to the garage. He was going to find the bastard and put him in his place. He opened the app that tracked Jeremy's whereabouts and within a few seconds he found out where exactly he was. If that boy was smart then he was much more smarter than he could ever be. If he thought he had won then he could think again because he wasn't allowing that scum take Gia away from him. There he said it and it sounded so fucking right. He revved out of the garage and followed the tracker on his device with a victorious smirk of his own.
