Chapter 10 I'm Here to Find a Wife

"By the way, boss, when are you coming back? The brothers are starting to miss you," Stone asked.

"No, I'm not coming back for now, I've still got some things to deal with here. While I'm away, keep everyone on the down-low; we've got quite a few enemies," Chen Feng replied.

"Got it. Boss, are you in Huaxia now? Do you want us to come over?" When Stone heard that Chen Feng had things to do there, he asked.

"No need, I can handle it myself," Chen Feng immediately refused. What a joke; all these guys are high on the watchlist of intelligence agencies from various countries. The moment they show up here in Huaxia, I'm sure not a day would pass before every intelligence agency in the world is informed. It would be total chaos here then!

"Alright then, boss. Just be careful on your own. I've been monitoring and noticed a bunch of people closely watching your accounts, including your Swiss Bank account, your Offshore Bank account, and even your credit cards. They're likely trying to use this lead to find you," Stone said.

Stone didn't insist, knowing full well Chen Feng's capabilities. If even Caesar the Great couldn't handle it, their coming would be of no use.

Chen Feng frowned slightly, clearly displeased, "Do you know who's monitoring me?"

"I've done some tracing. They seem to be from Interpol, the American CIA, and, oh, there might also be a group from Huaxia's intelligence department."

"The same old pests, haunting me relentlessly. Stone, find a way to divert their attention. I don't want them knowing my whereabouts," Chen Feng said, somewhat helplessly.

After all, he was Caesar the Great, the strongest and most mysterious figure in the mercenary world. He not only commanded the finest Mercenary Group but also held some of the dirtiest secrets of various nations. Considering their Mercenary Group's impressive record of past exploits, they even had the capability to overthrow the government of a small country—how could they not be a priority for these intelligence agencies?

But luckily, up to this point, there weren't many who knew the true location of the Dark Night Mercenary Corps, let alone the real face of Caesar the Great. Aside from a very few people, no one knew who Caesar the Great was, which country he belonged to, or how old he was—because Chen Feng always appeared wearing a silver mask to cover his true face.

"I understand, boss. But this will take some time; they're all experienced intelligence personnel who won't fall for tricks easily. I need to set up an impeccable trap for them to walk into."

Stone was one of the top hackers in the Dark Night Mercenaries, and one of the top three hackers globally. His job was to collect intelligence, breach computer systems, and provide technical support for the mercenaries out on missions. But no one knew that he was also part of the Dark Night Mercenaries, and those wanting to catch him were no fewer than those after Caesar the Great.

"By the way, boss, I almost forgot, I've discovered something else. A bunch of European Scavengers have gone to the Huaxia region these past few days. They might be up to something big. Through tracking one of their little pawns, I found out their destination is probably Star Sea City in Huaxia," Stone reported, knowing that Chen Feng was currently in Huaxia.

"European Scavengers? What are they doing in Huaxia?" Chen Feng snuffed out his cigarette, saying dismissively, as if it was inconceivable that these people would dare to operate on his turf.

"Their target is not yet clear. Should I continue to investigate, boss?" Stone asked.

"Keep looking, find out who their target is. I want to see which unfortunate soul has hired the European Scavengers to go after them. If there's any news, let me know."

After hanging up the phone, Chen Feng stared at the expensive vase on the table, lost in thought for a while. But he soon stopped pondering. As long as these people didn't bother him, he couldn't care less about them. They were mere insects, hardly worth stirring up a storm over for Caesar the Great.

What's truly bothersome right now is that he has no money to use. His overseas funds are tightly monitored by intelligence agencies, and any attempt from him to use them would quickly lead to his location being tracked down. The check from Xinru Lin can't be cashed just yet, which means, until Stone handles this matter, he needs to find a way to make money.

Does this mean... he has to go back to his old ways?

Chen Feng stepped out of the room, descended the stairs, and was about to go for a walk to breathe some fresh air when he saw the villa's maid, Sister Zhang, hurrying over to him, "Young master, young master, the young mistress left a document in the hall, and she just called me to deliver it to her immediately. But I can't leave right now. Could you deliver it to her for me?"

"No problem, hand me the document. I'll deliver it to her right now," Chen Feng replied, having nothing else to do and wanting to take a stroll as well. It was convenient to bring it to her on the way.

"Thank you, young master, thank you so much," Sister Zhang said gratefully as she handed him a yellow manila envelope.

"Don't mention it, I'm heading out," Chen Feng said with a wave of his hand. He stuffed the envelope into the pocket of his jeans, walked to the garage, mounted his Harley motorcycle, and rode off with style.

Only when he arrived at Xinru Lin's company did Chen Feng realize that his wife's company was actually a gigantic Biotechnology Engineering Multinational Group. It seemed he knew very little about this woman.

After parking his bike, just as Chen Feng was about to deliver the document to Xinru, he was stopped by the security guards at the entrance: "I'm sorry, sir, you can't just enter here. Whom are you looking for?"

"I'm here to find my wife. She left a document behind and asked me to bring it to her. Oh, my wife is Lin Xinru, the CEO of this company," Chen Feng said candidly.

The two guards, one tall and one short, looked at him as if he were insane. It was common knowledge that Lin Xinru was not married—she didn't even have a boyfriend. Where did this so-called husband come from? The guy must be crazy or a con artist with malicious intentions, just by the disrespect he'd shown their boss, they couldn't let him go.

"You've got some nerve, kid, to harass our CEO. Are you going to get out by yourself, or do we need to throw you out?" one of the tall guards said fiercely, whipping out a stun baton from his waist and pointing it at him threateningly.
