Chapter 40 Unsuccessful Phone Porridge

Ye Wanwan felt hungry at last and dragged herself out of bed. After a simple wash, she lethargically made her way downstairs for breakfast.

While eating, she couldn't stop wondering if she said anything odd last night.

But no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't recall a thing. Ye Wanwan put down her spoon and sighed deeply in dismay.

"Madam, are you not feeling well?" the servant asked from the side.

The master had specifically instructed before leaving, to check on the madam when she woke up since she had been drinking last night and see if she still had a headache.

Ye Wanwan shook her head but still looked listless, "I'm fine."

After stuffing the last bite of the soup dumpling into her mouth, Ye Wanwan left the dining room and settled down in the living room.

She had barely sat down when the servant approached with the house's landline phone. "Madam, it's the master calling."

Ye Wanwan hesitated before taking the phone and answered tentatively, "Hello?"
