It seemed that Malin was indeed a rather amiable person; he could even befriend this Lich, as long as the friend was capable of fighting Chaos. It appeared that Malin did not mind whether his friends were humans or ghosts.

I hope that the two of you, as promising young humans, can become friends with Malin. In doing so, you would gain an additional path, as would Malin, and I too would have an extra option through you," the Lich continued.
