"Scram, whose side are you on?" Sun Jack pushed away the Tapai's hand.
At this moment, the people from Third Class were still talking. "If we share all the information with you without holding anything back, we can't guarantee that Omega 31 won't acquire this information through you."
"Omega 31 didn't launch a full assault right from the start because it fears the power of Third Class; it can't determine how much we know about it or what we have under our control."
"We can't share our contingency plans, technology, or anything else with you or anyone else without reservation. If the Poet sees through us entirely, then humanity would truly be finished."
Although what the other party said made sense, Sun Jack wasn't willing to let it go at that. "So what you're saying is, starting now, you guys from Third Class will take on the Poet in a contest of strength? And the rest of Earth just watches?"
"Of course not, the number of people in Third Class is too small. The main force is still you all. If you don't come to us, we will come to you. In fact, we are also in contact with Think Tank, DF23, and other capital forces currently on Earth, preparing to jointly confront Omega 31."
"But given the current situation, it's not a good choice to act rashly when Omega reveals its hand. During this time, you guys need to regroup as quickly as possible and prepare for the upcoming battle. We will contact you the moment anything arises."
"The upcoming battle is on our home ground; we will lead you toward hope."
Hearing this, Sun Jack felt like he was going to explode. "Man! There's no network! The net is totally down right now! Each city is like an isolated atom, how do you expect us to fight against Omega with you?"
"Don't worry, we've considered this problem for a millennium. The Third Class offices we've set up in every city were for this exact scenario; you can use them for inter-city communications."
"Damn." Sun Jack stood up and walked away, after dawdling with this guy for so long, at least they finally ground out some information.
With communications up, at the very least they could get the latest news on other cities. The Utopia Federation wouldn't just be scattered into isolated islands.
However, just as Sun Jack had taken a few steps, he heard the other party's voice behind him, "To confront Omega 31, I would advise against using any mechanical devices or net attacks. He's far stronger in that area. The DNA enhancement technology was a new approach we tried; at least in this aspect, we're on the same starting line. This is also the result of our advance planning."
"Planning? You guys?" Memories of everything that had happened flooded Sun Jack's mind.
From the first time he realized his own DNA enhancement technology to learning that he was just a reality show protagonist meant to promote DNA enhancement technology, as well as the strange flesh technology within Third Class, and finally, out of frustration, sharing all the DNA enhancement technology he had for free with everyone on Earth to combat capital.
Was it just a coincidence that the Poet's AI Crisis started not long after he shared the technology with everyone?
Hearing this, Sun Jack turned around with a shocked look on his face. "Planning? You guys? So, all this was designed by you?"
But this terrifying suspicion was immediately dismissed by the other party.
"We're not that bored to strictly control your life. In fact, you stumbled into our plan yourself. We merely sold the technology to the FFP. Capital, in its pursuit of maximizing profits, would fully develop this technology. No matter what they do, by the time we confront Omega 31, humanity will have one more weapon in hand. Of course, your later decision to distribute it for free was even better."
"In reality, we did just that, without the DNA gene enhancement technology, it would have been impossible for humanity to recover so quickly from that situation."
It seemed to counter what Sun Jack said earlier, the other party continued to speak: "You previously said Third Class isn't doing anything. The truth is, we've done far more than you think, on a much larger scale. Sometimes we just work in silence and have no interest in boasting or sharing these things as topics of conversation or pride."
After the last words, the other party cut off the communication, and the holographic projection vanished in front of Sun Jack.
"Tch." Sun Jack lit a cigarette and thought for a moment before heading out quickly.
"What's next?" Tapai asked, following behind him.
"What else can we do? First, use Third Class to contact all the cities, get the entire Utopia Federation back up and running, and unify as a whole. Get everything in order as best as possible to prepare for the upcoming battle." Sun Jack laid out his provisional plan, intending to use the Think Tank to prepare for the upcoming situation.
For now, he could only take it one step at a time.
Even though the Poet seemed very dangerous and the situation was severe, after everything he had been through, Sun Jack's will had become as strong as steel.
As long as he wasn't dead, no matter what happened, he would keep moving forward.
When he arrived at BPCD's Third Class branch, it seemed they had been expecting him already.
One metal door after another opened, and Sun Jack finally arrived amongst various colored incubation tanks filled with suspending flesh. If one really had to draw an analogy, it was like a mainframe made of flesh.
While Sun Jack was looking around, a Third Class member in blue uniform approached and handed him a chip made from slightly pulsating flesh.
Sun Jack took it with his hand, and he wasn't sure if it was just his imagination, but he could even hear a faint moan from the chip; the thing was alive.
Inserting this thing into his external system port felt like someone was penetrating his brain with their dick.
Weird as it may be, at least it worked. Soon, Sun Jack's external system picked up a signal from Emola. "Hello?! Hello! Can you hear me? This is Sun Jack; report the situation over there!"
The response came quickly but the voice was stuttering—not because of a bad signal, but because the person on the other end seemed to be dying. "Heard you, Emola city is severely damaged! We need support!"
While Metropolis was safe, it was obvious that the AI Crisis in other cities was far from over.
Hearing this, Sun Jack's scalp tightened, and he quickly turned to Tapai, "Quick! Inform Abu! Send a combat-capable force to support Emola immediately!!"
