Chapter 621 Lesson 3

The hover car sped through the clouds as Sun Jack, weighed down by heavy thoughts, watched the tempestuous sky outside.

Just as he was lost in thought, he suddenly saw Metropolis's escort fleet outside. Clearly, he hadn't ordered it; it was Tapai who had issued the command for the fleet to arrive.

"There's no need, call them all back. Even if Third Class is unruly, it's unlikely that a Poet would ambush me on the road."

"I don't think so. You should never place your safety in someone else's hands. I'm always here, ready for anything. Call me anytime." Tapai's voice had barely faded when more and more spacecraft carriers emerged from the clouds.

"Mr. Sun, can you have your people withdraw? Do you not trust me?" Upon hearing San Jiao speak, Sun Jack slightly shook his head, "Since they're already here, I think it's better to follow along."

After hearing this, San Jiao said nothing more and stood frozen, like a puppet.

Sun Jack looked around, and although the interior of this hover car looked no different from any other hover car, a closer examination revealed flesh tissues in some of the crevices.

After quickly scanning with his Artificial Eye, Sun Jack discovered that the hover car's circuit boards and chips were all made of flesh; the entire hover vehicle was essentially a living organism.

As Sun Jjack lit up another cigarette, San Jiao spoke up again, "Mr. Sun, smoking is prohibited here." However, Sun Jack ignored him.

As they passed through a black desert, Sun Jack suddenly saw the ground split open with an earthquake, revealing the squirming red magma below.

At that moment, it was as if Earth had opened its eyes right before him, staring directly at him. It was clear that only a Poet could execute something of this scale. Although he didn't know what this individual was up to, it was certainly no good.

Thinking about the current dire situation, Sun Jack felt a sinking sensation in his chest, sensing that the odds were not in his favor.

"Can you tell me what the plan is now? And one specifically tailored for me? I'm really curious about how you intend to confront such a Poet," he asked.

"Jack, how much are you willing to sacrifice for the survival of humanity?" A woman's voice rang out next to Sun Jack's ear, not San Jiao's voice.

Taking a light puff, feeling the numbing effect of nicotine on his lungs, Sun Jack coughed lightly before asking, "What do you mean by that?"

"We have reviewed all of your experiences and simulated your personality and character. As Sun Jack, your response just now should have covered everything."

"So…" Sun Jjack paused slightly, "so the price of the tailor-made plan you mentioned is demanding everything from me?"

"That's one way to put it."

"Heh," Sun Jack chuckled, "Now I'm even more curious about what kind of plans you've tailored for TT and DF23. Don't be so arrogant. Sometimes things don't go according to your plan."

"We know, which is why we've prepared various contingency plans."

"Is Plan 8, where you intend to obliterate the Poet with a nuclear bomb, one of them?"

"Yes, but that's merely a last resort."

"However, it seems like this plan won't threaten the Poet."

"No, it can threaten him. Public opinion campaigns work on you, but they have no effect on Third Class."

During this conversation, a colossal fortress floating in the sky appeared before him. As they approached, Sun Jack felt as if he were being watched by a giant entity.

And the large LOGO at the center made it clear that this was Third Class territory.

As the hover car entered through an entrance, Sun Jack's sense of discord intensified. Not only did the spacecraft carriers have flesh hardware, but flesh tissues were also visible everywhere in this place.

Standing on a Floating Plate that he had once seen in the Breeding Factory, Sun Jack followed Third Class through this bizarre place.

While quickly passing by, Sun Jack even saw a tree strung with many infants he had once seen when he had secretly infiltrated Third Class territory.

And all the staff here wore helmets similar to San Jiao's.

"Is this your headquarters, or just one of your branches?" Sun Jjack asked. However, San Jiao remained silent.

As he touched a Floating Plate almost identical to those in the Breeding Factory, Sun Jjack spoke again, "Is the Breeding Factory linked to you? Why does this feel so familiar to me, and yet I haven't seen it anywhere else?"

But again, there was no response.

Half an hour later, the Floating Plate stopped in front of a lab about half the size of a soccer field. There, Sun Jack saw many brains, and he inexplicably felt as if he was back in Little Ding's laboratory. The place was bustling, and some staff members seemed to be constantly adjusting something.

Sun Jack's feet suddenly stopped, "I just realized you've cut off my communication with the outside world. I think it would be best if you reconnect it, otherwise my people will come looking for me."

After finishing his sentence, everyone present stopped and turned to look at him.

Seeing this, Sun Jack calmly took a puff of his cigarette, looked around, and then sat down on a nearby bench, patting the seat next to him. "Let's hear it, then. What exactly is your plan?"

San Jiao didn't move, but the door next to him opened, and a half-mechanical, half-flesh woman walked out. Dressed in a tight suit, she resembled a bizarre tree, but her face was that of Linda Linda.

Seeing Sun Jack taken aback, she smiled slightly, "I thought I'd use the facial data of your friend to meet you, to make you feel more at ease."

She then approached Sun Jack and without introducing herself, asked directly, "Jack, do you consider yourself to be more of a human or an AI right now?"

The next second, as the flesh chips on the external system pumped continuously, the network was reconnected in an instant. Not only that, but the entire Sun Jack network rebooted, and at that very moment, Sun Jack could, as before, download himself into every Sun Jack body whenever he wished.

"What do you mean by that?" Sun Jack asked, looking forward.

"What is your definition of a human? Is it to have flesh and blood or to think with a brain?"

"Now, with the mechanical parts in your body surpassing your flesh parts, and your flesh regenerated countless times, your consciousness being freely uploaded and downloaded, in truth, you're no different from an AI, apart from cognition. So, what is the definition of AI to you?"
