Chapter 636: Start the War

"Another trick up your tail?" Second One looked towards Hilda's mechanical tail, reaching out to touch it while expressing his surprise.

"Of course, every time I go out, I carry the corresponding equipment. Do you really think that during the days of the Rat Alliance Battle Line I relied solely on my size to fight against capital?" Hilda said with a touch of sadness in her eyes, but she quickly recomposed herself and flicked her tail to slap away his reaching hand.

The group adjusted to each other, began to work in harmony, and took up their respective duties to get the Mechanical Worm moving again.

While using Hilda's jammer to prevent the Liquid Metal from approaching the control panel, Number 44 gossiped, "Speaking of which, have you and Sun Jack ever done 'it'?" Even though death might be seconds away, nothing could stop her curiosity.

"Of course. We are boyfriend and girlfriend," Hilda stated unabashedly, unconcerned with the dire situation at hand.

Hearing this, Second One looked at Hilda's mechanical face with deep envy. "Must be nice."

"Quit dreaming and get to work; no one's going to use you as a cover."

However, in the next second, the just stabilized situation plunged into chaos.

Mechanical Nanoworms began infiltrating from all directions. They devoured all metal, severing all mechanical controls, and even started to climb onto Hilda's body, as her massive mechanical form slowly disintegrated into scrap, falling to the ground.

No matter what solutions they came up with, they seemed helpless to stop it.

As the Mechanical Worm's framework was compromised, the external pressure began to take effect, gradually compressing the entire structure of the Mechanical Worm.

Soil and creaking metal loomed over them like a mountain, and under such circumstances, everything they did seemed futile. They could only watch helplessly as rocks closed in from all sides.

Just as they were about to be crushed, the crushing stopped abruptly. Metal beams reached out from the side, forming various triangular structures that stabilized the shaky space.

Before anyone could recover from their shock, a laser cut through the rocks next to them, and a hand reached in. "Come here, we're here to rescue you."

It was a mechanical arm, adorned with skulls on its fingers and a large cicada painted on the forearm.

Seeing the cicada symbol, Faxis, who was once a part of the BCPD, showed a complex expression, then spoke with a hint of self-derision, "I never thought I'd see the day when I'd be rescued by a gang."

After saying that, he walked over, grabbed the extended hand firmly, and was pulled out.

The rescuer was another Mechanical Scout Worm.

Riding in this Mechanical Worm, they finally made it back to the surface, thinking they were safe, only to find that the surface had turned into a giant battlefield.

Under the influence of meteorological weapons, the sky seemed to be torn in two. Amid the churning dark clouds and flashes of lightning were high-tech weapons and flying vehicles weaving nets of light in the night sky.

Huge spacecraft carriers and sky-base weapons flickered in and out of the clouds, surrounded by Energy Shields, while pouring destructive firepower down onto the earth. Even though they had just emerged, they could already smell the air filled with the pungent metal odor and the scent of burnt flesh.

"Fuck me..." Number 44 was stunned by the scene before him, and before long, he received new orders from Utopia Security, instructing them to join the battlefield immediately upon receipt of the new directive.

"Anan! What the hell is happening now?" Hilda, while organizing her information, quickly ran towards the Combat Hover Car that was there to pick her up.

"The situation has escalated! By the time we received your message, the enemy had received it too! Brace yourself! Omega 31 will certainly do everything to protect his Noah's Ark!"

"But we must seize his Noah's Ark. If we really get it, it will be a very important bargaining chip. The nearby Third Class and TT's troops have already rushed over."

As her words ended, Hilda saw a mountain rising from the distant horizon – someone had set off a nuclear bomb near the earth's surface.

She lit a cigarette, took a drag, and jumped into the Hover Battle Vehicle, "Let's go!"

"You still smoke?"

"Don't believe what's shown in 'Revolution Sun Jack'; it's all acting. I'm not that delicate anymore."

Even in the face of the battlefield, there was no trace of fear on Hilda's face; instead, there was a hint of excitement in her eyes.

Piece by piece, metal armor and external prosthetic bodies gradually covered Hilda's entire form, and as she was completely wrapped in metal, she was like a giant robot.

Watching the various warplanes and drones sent by the Poet, darting through the sky at high speeds—some providing air support, others deploying precision-guided munitions—

Hilda saw this scene, stamped her foot hard on the Hover Car, and shot forth. At that moment, she was like a laser bird whose wings were filled with various weapons and sensors, circling over the battlefield, quickly locating these warplanes to counter them.

"Good luck, I've been assigned to the special maneuvers squad! I'm heading out first!"

"See ya!" With a burst of blue flames shooting out, the Hover Battle Vehicle carrying them merged into the sea like a drop of water, entering this increasingly expanding battlefield.

On the deck of the Spacecraft Carrier, combat robots and soldiers equipped with various DNA enhancements fought together, metal sparks from collisions and beams from energy weapons interweaving.

The combatants moved nimbly around the battlefield, wielding energy blades that gleamed with a cold light.

Deaths occurred constantly on the battlefield, yet few faces showed fear or despair. This was because, on any battlefield, the Sun Jack Clones were always at the forefront, like nodes connecting the entire global combat situation.

All of this eventually converged onto a screen in the headquarters of Utopia Security, and similar screens lay out in hundreds before Sun Jie.

At this moment, everyone was staring at the 3D tactical map in front of them, and the room was very quiet. Sun Jie, sitting in the center, slowly took a deep puff of his cigarette, "The situation has finally escalated, huh?"

Beside him, alarms kept reminding him of various intercontinental missile interception updates. One miss here, and the entire Metropolis would be done for.

Even though they were always on the brink of death, the relaxed vibe of Metropolis made up for it.

"Ladies and gentlemen." Sun Jack's voice sounded on the Sun Jack channel.

"The war against the Poet has now begun in earnest. Ladies and gentlemen, no matter where you are, no matter what your current mission is, keep going! And don't forget, we are Sun Jack!!"
