Part 72: River Bank of the Jungle

We ran as fast as we could and finally reached an open area, putting some distance between us and the relentless zombies. This part of the jungle was wide and clear, offering a brief respite from the oppressive darkness. Our torches swept across the landscape, revealing the dense undergrowth and towering trees that surrounded us. Captain Lee’s satellite device beeped, indicating a stronger signal.

“There are good signals here,” Captain Lee murmured to himself, his eyes glued to the detector screen. Red dots appeared, representing the zombies scattered throughout the jungle. “We’re safe for now, but they’re all around us,” he informed the group.

“This must be their territory,” I commented, feeling a chill run down my spine.

“If we can somehow cross this zombie-infested area, we’ll reach the Queen’s territory and eventually get to the Crow headquarters,” Captain Lee said, reading the map on his device.
