Part 91: Dream of Mother Miranda

In the middle of our journey, Mother Miranda suddenly collapsed to the ground, looking extremely weak. We rushed to her aid, and she gratefully accepted a drink of water. Her eyes, though weary, held a strange intensity as she spoke.

"We will not reach Harper. We are going out," she said, her voice fraught with urgency.

Doctor Marcus hurried to her side, his concern evident. "Mother Miranda, you’re exhausted. You need to rest a bit," he said, checking her pulse and examining her as a physician would.

But Mother Miranda shook her head vehemently. "No, Doctor, do not waste time. I am seeing them. They are black trees, taking Harper away. There is a full moon, pulling us into another land or star," she declared, her words filled with a mix of prophecy and fear.
