Snow looked at her and stepped back, turning slightly to leave the room when she paused hearing Regina crying and looked over at the mayor. But instead of saying anything, or being rude. She just walked over to the bed, sat down next to her and wrapped an arm around her to comfort her, though she would just sit there and let her cry, letting Regina talk when she was ready too.
Regina stopped crying a little feeling an arm around her and she hesitated for a moment before wrapping her arms around Snow and huffing her, her head resting on Snows shoulder as her body was wracked with sobs, it was only after a few minutes she practically stopped crying, if she were in her right mind she would have never allowed Snow white to hold her like that, but she needed this, but she still couldn't face seeing anyone else yet, perhaps she would take Mr Gold's deal after all.
Snow started to rub her back gently, trying to comfort her as much as she could but just let her cry. Although when she heard Regina stop, Snow attempted to joke a little, hoping to make her feel better. "Who would have thought we'd be sticking up for and comforting each other?" She asked, giving Regina a small friendly squeeze.
Regina just held herself in Snows arm, her face nestling into her neck as she tried to calm herself down, and returned the squeeze Snow gave her. She laughed a little at the joke before pulling back, wiping the tears away. "Who indeed" she frowned and looked at Snow. "I'm sorry...how are you? I know....a lot has gone on with David and Emma" she said softly.
Snow gave a small smile hearing the laugh and chuckled. "It is ironic." She said as she rubbed her back but hearing the question she shrugged. "I'm alright.. just worried is all. David seemed calmer this morning but who knows what could happen. And Emma was still pretty upset last night, I had gone to speak with her and Hook but I'm glad she seems happy with him." She said. Though she was completely unaware of what was happening at the diner right now.
Regina nodded slightly and pulled Snow into another hug, this time her rubbing her stepdaughters back. "I'm sorry" she apologised earnestly. She pulled back and cupped Snows cheek softly. "if you want to go check on things. You can. I'll be okay" Regina smiled a little at her.
Snow gave a smile. "You don't need to apologize." She promised but that was when she heard pounding footsteps on the stairs, running up to the room and turned to see Henry in the doorway but saw how worried and terrified he looked. "Henry?" Snow asked but Henry was leaning against the doorframe trying to catch his breath.
Regina smiled softly, she felt like she did have to, she frowned hearing someone burst through the door and footsteps coming towards them. She saw Henry and gasped, she'd never seen him look quite so panicked. She climbed off the bed, concern immediately taking over her, she didn't have time to worry about what a mess she looked. "Henry?" She asked touching his shoulder. She knelt down in front of him and gently cupped his cheeks, searching his eyes. "What is it? What's happened?" She asked worriedly glancing back at Snow.
Once Henry had managed to catch his breath enough he spoke. "At the diner.. he had a gun and he was going to shoot." He said although he knew it wasn't much of an explanation although what happened after that he didn't know since he had left the diner before the gunshot went off.
Snow stood and walked over, sharing the worried look with Regina but frowned hearing Henry until she realized what he meant, one hand covering her mouth in shock. "David.." she breathed but without another word, she was already out of the bedroom and running down the steps.
Regina frowned and crouched down a bit further. "who...?" She asked confused but that was soon answered by Snow. She pressed a kiss to Henry's head quickly before standing up and chasing after Snow. "Snow! Wait!" She said running after her quickly she reached out and barely managed to grab her arm. "I can portal us there" she said, she hadn't a clue if Henry had followed them but she closed her eyes and waved her hands upwards across her face, they disappeared and turned up in the centre of Granny's.
Henry had watched as the two raced out but he felt too panicked and scared to go back to that diner. He didn't want to see what happened so he had chosen to stay at the house. Figuring he could find out later.
At the diner, Emma looked at Killian hearing he was trying to get him to stop but she had a feeling he wasn't about to but could hear the rest of the customers were moving to the doors, trying to get out of the diner. That's when she heard the gun go off. Though, at first she didn't even realize she had ended up getting shot, the emotions she felt on top of the adrenaline had kept her from feeling the pain. She looked at shook but glanced at his arm. "Are you?" She asked instead of answering but that was when she suddenly felt a pain in her side and looked down, moving her jacket just a little to show her shirt that was starting to become soaked with blood.
Killian kicked the gun away from David's hand as he reached for it and cursed at him. "stay where you bloody are" he turned to Emma hearing her question. "I'm fine, it just caught my arm a little" he said feeling a slight sting. He then frowned and watched her pull her jacket to the side. "Emma?" He asked, his face paled when he saw the blood beginning to sleep through her shirt. His eyes widened and he immediately shrugged off his jacket biting back the pain in his arm, he took off his shirt and sat emma down on one of the booths, he pressed his shirt to her wound, worriedly looking at her. "Apply pressure, stay with me" he said. He turned back to look at David who had stepped towards them. "Is she..." He was cut off by an absolutely enraged Killian who stood up and grabbed David's shirt. "No she isn't bloody alright. You shot her!" He snapped angrily. Hook pushed him backwards and he fell against the counter watching them, Snow was absolutely going to kill him. Killian knelt by Emma's side. "can i take a look Swan?" He asked edging her shirt up a little which was already sticking to her skin.
Emma winced once she felt his shirt pressed against the wound as she sat down in one of the booths, she gave a tiny nod and pressed the shirt against the wound. A small gasp of pain escaping even though she tried not to let out a noise. Her free hand gripping the table. She could hear Killian and David but her eyes were cast down towards her side seeing blood seeping through his shirt. She looked at the pirate she slowly moved her hand away so he was able to edge her shirt up and look. She didn't know how bad it was but could feel blood running down her side. Though she didn't say anything since she could feel herself wanting to pass out and was trying her hardest to fight against it before she found her voice although when she spoke it came out in a whisper she wasn't even sure if he heard. "How.. how bad is it?"
Regina looked around and she froze a little, what the hell had happened, Regina saw the gun on the floor and immediately picked it up, she dropped it carefully to the other side of the counter and glared at David.
Killian apologised soothingly every time he moved, he knew he was probably hurting Emma, his need to help Emma overtook his need to beat David to death. He looked down at the wound as he raised her shirt. "it's pretty bad...bleeding a lot" he said and quickly replaced his shirt against her side. "Slow breaths Emma" he said panicked, he'd been so worried that he didn't notice the others come in.
David looked around and heard something, he saw Regina, when the hell did they get there. Then his stomach dropped to the floor as he saw his wife. "Snow..." He reached to her and grabbed her arms gently. "I'm sorry...I'm so sorry...I didn't mean to" he said, his eyes tearing up a little. He didn't know how Snow was going to react to him shooting their daughter, after everything they've done to be together, but he guessed that it wasn't going to be good. "It was an accident" he pleaded to his wife.
Snow had been too worried to think about going through a portal that when she felt Regina's hand on her and heard the suggestion. She just nodded but as soon as they were at the diner, her breath caught when she saw her daughter bleeding and Killian knelt in front of her but her eyes found her husband, she took a step back from him, her eyes holding an anger. "Go home." She told David. She didn't want to talk to him right there in the diner, that they could do that when they were alone. She heard him pleading it was an accident but she didn't know what all really happened. "We'll talk there." She told him. Snow turned her attention over to her daughter before she spoke, "you need to get her to the hospital. Whale can help." She said although she thought of asking Regina if she could heal her but wasn't sure if she'd be able too.
Emma bite down on her bottom lip, trying to stifle any noise if pain although occasional gasps would escape and nodded slowly hearing what he said but she felt him press his shirt against the wound against she slowly moved her hand to be over his. Her vision was starting to blur and it sounded like everyone's voices sounded far away. Emma kept her eyes focused on the pirate in front of her, that was until her vision started to darken and the last thing she saw was his worried face before she fell unconscious, not able to fight against it anymore.
David frowned, he didn't want this, he hadn't wanted to hurt Emma, but still he had, and this was all his fault. "I...." He heard Snow's angry words and gulped, he slowly backed away from his wife, hurt, hurt by her tone, hurt that she'd told him to go home, hurt by how she had backed away from him. Without another word he turned and left the diner, immediately making his way home where he sat on the couch, unable to wrap his head around what had just happened.
Killian kept his eyes focused on Emma, he smiled softly, he raised his bloody hand up to her cheek and stroked it gently. "you'll be okay Swan" he hummed. He turned to snow and shook his head. "I'm so sorry Snow, he was trying to hit me...I couldn't stop him" he apologised before he looked back at Emma worryingly, he could see her becoming unfocused. "Emma? Emma!" He turned to snow. "Help me get her on the floor" he took one of her arms and laid her down on her back, keeping his shirt on the wound before he turned to Regina. "bloody help her Regina!" He shouted, though he was just scared, he couldn't lose her.
Regina's head whipped back to him in shock, but she also saw how desperate and upset Snow was. She brushed her hair shakily behind her ears and she knelt down by Emma's side. She removed his shirt from her, gently pushing Killian's hand away and ripped open Emma's shirt along the side so she could see the injury. "I can make sure the bullet isn't in there and I can close up the wound slightly, hopefully, but she'll need to rest a lot as she will still be healing inside" she lowered her hands to the wound and began to use her magic, the bleeding slowly starting to stop. "She will be sore and she will need to be taken care of in case she gets a fever" Regina said worriedly glancing at the unconscious woman.
Snow had her full attention on her daughter and the pirate but heard David leaving but hearing the apology. She shook her head, "this is not your fault." She told him before seeing her daughter go unconscious but Snow was already moving over by the time Killian spoke and carefully helped get her laid down on the the floor before she heard the pirate shout but knew how worried he was. Snow White glanced at Regina but nodded before she put a hand on Hook's shoulder. "I know you'll take care of her." She said softly and gave a nod in thanks to Regina before she left the diner, heading home.
Emma laid unconscious a few minutes longer after the blood stopped but her eyes opened, just a few inches since she still felt tired and weak. "Hook?" She whispered, her hand reaching out to grab onto his arm until her eyes landed on Regina. She had gone pale and had dried blood on her side and on the waistband of her trousers.
Hook nodded at snow. "I will. I promise" he said and then watched her leave, he watched Regina work, glad to see that the wound had healed slightly, no doubt it was still an injury and infection or changes of it reopening were a possibility. "I'm here love, I'm here" he said and held onto her hand giving it a small squeeze.
Regina panted a little, she was glad that she had been able to do it, but moving her back to the ship or to wherever she was going to stay was going to be difficult without causing her pain. She pulled Emma's shirt back down and leaned over a little. "don't move Emma...just rest" Regina said gently brushing her hand over the pale woman's forehead checking for a temperature. "You're going to be just fine swan" she said smiling a little. "Will you be okay taking her back?" Regina asked Killian, she really needed to go back to Henry and then tell Snow that her daughter was going to be in some pain and may get sick, but that she would survive David's stupid actions.
Emma felt the squeeze to her hand and returned it although her squeeze was slightly weak. She didn't have a fever yet since right now it was mostly just pale and pain from the wound. Emma's eyes looked up at Regina and tried to offer the best smile she could. "Thank you.. Regina." She told her but she didn't make any move to try and sit up but wasn't sure if she would even be able to. Regina nodded softly. "Take it easy swan " she smiled a little before looking at hook telling him to call her if the wound reopened.
Killian nodded and gently brushed his thumb over her hand. "I'm going to pick you up okay" he said softly not even sure if Emma could hear him. He placed his arms under Emma's legs and around her back before picking her up trying not to hurt her too much. "I'm sorry swan... we'll be back soon" he said as he carried her out of the diner carefully.
Emma nodded at Regina's words and gave a small smile before she looked up at the pirate, opening her eyes a little more to look up at him. Hearing that he was going to pick her up, she nodded a little to let him know she understood though a small whimper of pain escaped at the movement before she let her head rest against his bare chest, one hand moving to rest against the wound slightly. She was quiet for a bit before she whispered. "I'm sorry.." she felt bad that Killian had nearly been shot in the chest because David was angry with her.
