Apprehension

-Johan Anderson-

My wedding day was only days away. Most people would feel relief or excitement in a situation like this, but not me. Even when I tried to think about the good things to come, my thoughts always circled back to one issue: infiltrators.

Although news of my wedding to Yumi had been kept from the public, I knew a handful of trusted individuals were aware. Or at least, I wanted to believe they were trustworthy. In a world like this, even the smallest circle of trust could be eroded by intrigue and betrayal.

The ceremony was to be as simple as possible. Not just because of the ongoing war, but also to avoid drawing unnecessary attention. Yet, despite all efforts to keep it discreet, I couldn't shake this feeling—a premonition that refused to leave me.
