The forest of Sparta, Thería, was divided into four parts: The Outskirts, The Greenbelt, The Heartwood, and The Shadowland.
The reason why Thería was divided into these four parts was due to various reasons like the physical appearance of the four divisions of the forest, the major type of plants that could be found in the four divisions of the forest, and so on.
For example, the reason why The Greenbelt was referred to as The Greenbelt was because of the immense number of green light and greenery that one would encounter when one crossed The Outskirts and reached The Greenbelt.
As for why The Heartwood was called The Heartwood, it was because the trees in that part of the forest were called Heartwood trees, and they had their own special uses.
The Shadowland was given such a name because the height and size of the trees and plants in that area of the forest were so high that there was barely any sunlight. The shadows of the trees and plants in The Shadowland covered every single each of that part of the forest, and it was also the most dangerous part of the forest that even Silver's grandfather would not dare to enter recklessly.
Although the four divisions of Thería were unique, they also served as warning signs to cultivators or adventurers due to the strength of the beasts that occupied each division.
The Outskirts was mainly occupied by Animals due to the regular clearing of dangerous Feral Beasts and Savage Beasts that might go into The Outskirts. The Outskirts also had less dangerous Feral Beasts, however, these Feral Beasts were like the rulers of The Outskirts and were extremely to normal humans and Spartans.
Meanwhile, The Greenbelt was occupied by much more beasts.
The Greenbelt had Feral Beasts, Savage Beasts, Dire Beasts, Mystic Beasts, and Nightmare Beasts.
When Silver's mother told him all the types of beasts that could be found in The Greenbelt, Silver eventually realized why his brother, Nathaniel, and almost everybody believed he was not going to make it back from the forest alive at all.
In fact, he was absolutely shocked that The Greenbelt was so dangerous since he had only been told that The Greenbelt had ranging from Feral Beasts to Dire Beasts. In fact, he never knew anything about Mystic Beasts and Nightmare Beasts until his mother told him about them.
Thería was much more dangerous than it seemed.
The Outskirts did not have Savage Beasts since if a Savage Beast was seen by the forest patrol officers of Sparta, they would immediately kill it and most likely use it as barbeque.
So, unless Silver was extremely lucky, there was no way he was going to find a Savage Beast in the Outskirts which was the safest part of the forest.
And this was what led to the Silver's main problem.
The most guaranteed place where he was going to see a Savage Beast was in The Greenbelt, and The Greenbelt was extremely dangerous for Silver to enter.
What was to say that when Silver entered The Greenbelt he was not going to encounter a Dire Beast or a Mystic Beast?
What was to say that he would not encounter a Nightmare Beast or maybe even a higher leveled beast that chose to wander into The Greenbelt?
There was absolutely nothing that prevented such terrible occurrences from happening to him, and everybody knew that if he ever encountered such beasts, then… he could only say his last prayers.
There was also another possibility that his mother told him about and why his declaration to bring back a Savage Beast was really stupid.
Although it was a courageous and brave act of Silver, he was in a way giving himself a death sentence.
"What if another Savage Beast, or a Dire Beast, or a much stronger beast perceives your fight and decides to curiously observe your fight? What are you going to do?"
These were his mother's words, and Silver was made to actually realize the severity of his words and actions.
Although there was a possibility that none of these would happen, but should one live their lives according to possibilities?
What also made Silver's goal much more difficult and dangerous to achieve were his 'limitations'.
Silver was the youngest child of the crown prince of Sparta, and although it might not be seem like it, he always had artifacts on him that could protect him from harm.
But for his rites of passage, he could not take any of those artifacts with him nor could he carry a powerful weapon with him.
In fact, Silver could not take food or water with him. He could also not take extra clothes.
He could not take ANYTHING except common weapons. Not even an armor was allowed in a Spartan rite of passage. A Spartan was meant to survive his or her rite of passage with only their weapons and wits.
After his mother taught him some things, she also gave him some advice. And one of those advice was to carry more than one weapon with him. In fact, it was to carry as many weapons as his grandfather allowed.
His mother also advised him to take a shield with him, and he did.
According to the rules set up in the olden days, a Spartan could take at most three weapons for a rite of passage. But since Silver chose to undergo three rites of passage, he was allowed to take seven weapons in his spatial ring.
Two of those were shields.
Three were long spears.
One was a short sword.
And another was a short spear.
All of these were made out of common steel. Basically, they were weapons that were used by soldiers in training.
When Silver realized that he could take seven weapons, he asked his mother why she advised him not to take a bow and arrow, but her reply was this,
"Do you think somebody with your low level of archery skills could successfully kill a Savage Beast with an arrow made out of common steel?"
"Is your archery ability so good that you'd be able to accurately hit the vital spot of a Savage Beast?"
When Silver heard this, he had no other choice but to give up on any thought to use a bow and arrow. His mother was right, his archery skills were really not noteworthy.
"Although Mother can be scary and annoying at times, I don't think I'd have made the decisions I've made and I'm about to make."
Silver smiled lightly as he walked to a certain direction in The Outskirts.
His goal?
To find a source of water.
