'Ah Fuck.'
BANG!
For a moment, Silver felt his life flash before his eyes as he watched the massive tail of the crocodile approach him.
The tail seemed slow. But it was anything but slow.
Silver could only manage to put up his shield, but his posture, stance, and strength he put behind the shield was not enough to protect him from the devastating attack of the beast.
CRACK
Silver heard and felt a crack resound from his left shoulder, and without an expert telling him, or without him having to look at his shoulder, he already knew he had a dislocated shoulder.
His mind blanked for an instant from the sudden pain he felt and he blacked out for just a fraction of a second.
When he regained his senses, he found himself moving above the ground, and the world spun in his vision.
He saw the sky.
He saw one of the trees in the glade.
He saw a rabbit scurry away in fear from one of the bushes.
And then… he saw the ground.
Bang
Silver tumbled a few times, and a painful groan escaped his lips.
"Ah fuck. It hurts."
Silver grabbed his shield, and struggled to stand.
Bam Bam Bam Bam Bam
The ground trembled and Silver quickly looked up. His eyes shook when he saw the crocodile run at him with its jaws wide open.
He groaned, and without hesitation, he rolled to the side.
Snap!
Just as he rolled to the side, he felt a pang of pain from his left shoulder and he hissed.
Woosh
He heard a familiar sound, and without hesitation, he laid flat on the ground.
Woosh!
His clothes and chestnut hair rustled due to the wind that was generated by the tail of the croc. Although it was a close shave, Silver was able to prevent the tail from even touching the clothes on his body.
As he stayed on the ground, his eyes observed the crocodile. He observed the movement, posture, and even expressions of the crocodile with exceedingly cold eyes.
A second later, he got into a crouching position and sprinted towards the beast, all in the span of a single second.
Although he had been taken by surprise by the sudden tail attack of the crocodile, he was not completely shaken nor was his will broken.
In his mind, the only thing he had to do was survive.
And to survive, he had to kill this beast which was a peak Feral Beast.
RUMBLE!
The crocodile bellowed when it saw Silver approach it. It got on all fours and was preparing another lunge attack.
Silver's eyes gleamed with coldness, and without hesitation, he flung the shield in his hands at the head of the crocodile.
BAM
GROWL!
The crocodile's head snapped backwards due to the force behind the shield, and then it released a deep growl.
It was about to launch another attack on his prey, but then the prey was nowhere to be found.
"???"
The beast looked around, and then it saw Silver at the corner of his eyes, running on its tail.
Meanwhile, as Silver ran on the croc's tail, he was somewhat grateful that the tail of the beast was at least large enough for him to run on with ease. He glanced at the croc, and just as he had expected, it was looking back at him.
He felt movement from the croc's tail, and without a single shred of hesitation, he jumped to the back of the croc.
Growl
He felt the croc's back vibrate and a serious expression appeared on his face. He glanced at his dislocated left shoulder with a deep frown.
'I have to fix it or I might die because of it.'
Silver quickly ran towards the head of the croc. He stretched out his right hand and grabbed his dislocated left shoulder.
He tightened his lips, and without hesitation, he pushed his left shoulder back into its correct position.
A short and painful groan escaped his lips, however, his speed and focus did not waver as he ran towards the croc's head. He stretched out his right hand, and one of his spears appeared in his palm.
"Time to end this."
Silver tightened his grip on the spear, and just as he was about to take another step forward, he lost hsi footing.
"Huh?"
Silver wore a baffled expression as he felt himself fall to the ground. The sky above him darkened, and he quickly looked up.
"He performed a death roll that fast?!"
His pupils widened to the extreme as he saw the croc performing a death roll in his direction. With the immense weight of the croc, he knew he would be immensely fucked if he allowed the croc to roll on him.
A calculating gaze flashed in his eyes, and he quickly placed his legs on the croc and pushed himself away from the croc.
BANG!
Silver watched as the croc rolled a couple of times on the ground before it came to a complete stop. When it did, Silver immediately dashed towards the croc which remained completely fine even after rolling at a fast speed.
The croc had a baffled expression as it looked for the remains of his prey, but what it did not expect was a powerful and penetrating force to approach his eyes.
WHIIIINNNGKKK!!!
An immensely high-pitched whine was released by the crocodile as it trashed around violently with its body covered in its blood.
In its left eye was a gleaming spear.
"Bullseye."
Silver exclaimed proudly, and then he ran closer to the crocodile with another spear in his right hand.
As he ran towards the beast, the beast released a murderous, painful, and angry growl. Despite the immense pain in its eye, the beast still had some sanity in it to swipe its tail at him.
When Silver saw this… he grinned.
As he saw the beast try to move its tail, he threw the spear in his hand towards the tail with all the force he could muster.
WHRRRRRKKK!!!
Another high-pitched whine was released by the crocodile as Silver's spear had impaled it deeply.
"Oh shut it before you attract more monsters."
These where the last words the beast heard as it watched its supposed prey jump to its height with a shield in his hand.
The crocodile tried to attack, but… it was too late.
Clang!
Silver slammed his shield unto the butt of the spear with his entire strength, sending the spear deep into the skull of the crocodile.
The crocodile released a low growl, and a few seconds later, it fell.

[A/N: I know to some the release rate might not be likeable. It's also the same for me. There are some things that are affecting my release rate, and like I've said before, It's the irregular light at my place. The light really affects my release rate, and honestly, it's affecting me too.
I don't want to make any promises that the release rate would be better since for that, I need stable electricity. But here, that is not so.
I'm just praying that the light no longer becomes an issue.
This is an unedited chapter by the way.]
