Eliza glanced around to see there was no traffic around to avoid raising his suspicion that she was anywhere else but home. She took another deep breath to calm her nerves as she answered, "Yes. Just reached.."

There was silence at the other end for a while, and Eliza felt hundred sort of stress and anxiety and questions in her mind as she wondered, if Vaughn believed her or not.

Seconds later, his response finally came, "Have your dinner first, and sleep on time.."

Eliza nodded her head, as she replied, "Sure.. I will.."

After that, he talked for a while more to her. And Eliza patiently listened to him, occasionally replying to him one word or two. She just hoped no other car would come her way, which could blow her cover.

But thankfully, there came no car her way. And when she ended the call, she sank into her driving seat. Her back was covered with cold sweat, and she closed her eyes to relax.
