1954, India
Despite some backlash from the death of those fools, no one supported them and their protest so the law was passed and the three agencies were established successfully.
The division of work between three agencies helped in increasing their efficiency and helped in better funding them. This helped in finding many maulvi who brainwashed kids and promoted terrorism, some new born naxalites, some small scale insurgency in East tribal areas.
We also launched the white revolution during this time. Poor farmers who can't afford cows were given these new cross breeded cows who can produce more milk at a low interest loan. Many milk cooperative were set up like my previous world's AMUL.
These cooperative reduced the middle man in milk business and helped in decreasing the value of milk. We will continue providing these animals till every dairy farmer in India have atleast two pairs of these cows.
Production of food and grains is rising every year as farmers are provided loans from government to establish proper irrigation methods according to the agricultural advisers, that I employed to advise farmers and prepare HYV seeds, and using bio pest control with the help of animals suitable for every region according to the agricultural advisers.
Giving out food as wage has helped in lifting hunger and starvation and helped in employing a lot of worker as labour for roads, canals and other construction projects. Cement, brick and other such industries has been making huge profits during this time.
All the farmable land ceased by government from rich landlords has been distributed to these workers on a 99 year lease according to the merit they earned in these construction projects but there is a clause that a part of all of this land may be taken back by government for development projects.
To increase food production we have already installed modern irrigation and farming methods in the ceased land and have made this one of the works available for labour while raising the merit requirement of these lands for being provided on lease.
If the progress in farming goes on like this India will be able to produce its own food and even surplus food for emergency and trade till the population is low according to my previous world where population reached 1.5 billion.
In this time I also noticed that despite my efforts to increase the efficiency of judicial system these judges still like to act as if they are still under British rule. So I proposed a bill for the code of conduct of court and the right of these judges.
It contained that only bharathi language, state's native language or the language understood by both accuser and accused could be used in the court. If either lawyer or judge are found talking in any other language than they will lose their job and licence as lawyer. Not addressing the judge as milord or any other titles. They will either be addressed as Mr. Judge. Other than a week of leave for emergencies, which could be extended to 2 weeks in case of someone's death, in a year no other leave is allowed as they already enjoy 2 day holiday every week other than holidays on festivals. If a case filed in a court does not have a single hearing within 2 months is left pending than the judge will have to work overtime or on weekends as well till all these cases are cleared. There were many more such provisions for courts.
The law was passed easily as public supported this law a lot as it helped them a lot in getting justice in court and not feeling like they were cheated in court.
While this was happening, standard gauge tracks are being fitted between major cities and the research for High Speed Railway is undergoing. Old broad gauge tracks are being removed and being replaced with standard gauge track and train coaches are also being replaced for these new tracks.
Similarly, Metro Railways are being built in every major cities, and later will be built in every city, for better connectivity in the city.
Running trains of varying speeds on the same route and causing congestion is banned. After faster trains are developed, older and slower trains will be removed and scrapped. Every state will be given a limit on how many trains they can build and how many are allowed on a route in a day.
Old railway bridges and pulls will be demolished over next 2-3 years and will be replaced with new bridges as trains couldn't run on these old bridges at fast speeds due to high risk of these pulls and bridges breaking if trains run on them at fast speed. New and sturdier bridges will be built over which trains can move at a speed of atleast 200 km/h easily without any kind of risk.
Roads and railways are being constructed in a way that if their is a good spot of natural beauty that will promote tourism than they will pass through it. Towns will be developed in these places to promote tourist spots and tourist attractions will be constructed here.
Takshila and Nalanda University have also been rebuilt. These university will have the best education in all fields in the world. While universities are being built in the cultural capital of every state that will be more focused on some specific fields while providing top education in the country in every field but their main focus will be on 2 or 3 specific fields.
These fields will be assigned according to the general interest of the people of these states.
We also entered in contract with many countries where we will provide cheap labour and these countries like, Arabian countries and countries with low population, will give them work like mining or oil extraction etc. and train them for work in their country for 5 years and pay them.
But our workers do need to be well fed and well rested and will not work for more than 10 hours and will be treated well like any other worker be they white or black. If these terms are not followed than they will have to pay a huge fine to India and all the workers will be called back with the contract being rescinded.
This will give us trained and experienced labour after five years for our own mines and oil pits without any expenses on our side and decreasing the burden on food of the country by lakhs of people.
