33. Independence Day 1955

1955, India

Second general elections were held this year and this time again we won with even more seats. And after the election result I met one of the India's best Prime Minister of my world, Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He became the MP from Balrampur constituency this time as well. I hope that after the end of my tenure he will become Prime Minister this time as well.

Well I will let the destiny run its course here, and let's focus on our nation. Currently while people are earning and are able to get 2 meals a day which we are trying to make 3 by the end 1956, they don't have enough money to invest in government projects which is hampering the development so after a lot of thinking it was decided to make the former kings invest their fortune in these projects.

Afterall, now that they are not longer kings of any state many of them want to leave a mark in history and have something on their name. So tressurers were appointed for each of these kings. These tressurers will invest their money in business startups and government projects.

Using the money provided by these kings and the money earned through temples, masjids, churches etc. many monuments were built for honouring the sacrifice of those brave warriors who died fighting for Swaraj. One monument was built in every state and each monument is going to be something different than another. Historians are researching each and every name they could to be added in these places. Half of the profit earned from the tourism here will be given to these kings and the rest will go to government.

Similarly they also invested in highways all over India, now many will think why will they invest in roads, well as I said many of them wants to leave a mark in the world, some kind of legacy, so if they invest in these highways they will be named after them or their family members and can be easily paid back through road tax.

Also deviding all our artifacts and national treasures according to the state they belong and all that has been completed and will be shown in the museum built in their respective state's cultural capital.

Also after the death of king george Kohinoor was returned to us. At first Britishers tried to hold on it but we swiftly asked US to intervene as they were the witness of the agreement and we threatened them with even stronger sanction and complete ban on trade in Indian Ocean. So they soon returned it back to us and it is being shown proudly in the museum in Delhi.

And as in my previous world some descendants of Mughals dynasty tried to lay claim red fort, Taj Mahal etc. but were swiftly dealt with when it was pointed out that they lost all this to British government and Marathas and as all the things under British government comes under Indian government and Marathas rulers have already gave up their claim, I convinced them long ago anticipating this thing, they have no right over these historical sights in the same way that they have no right over the forts lost to all the kings and dynasties against mughal rule like Marathas.

Seriously, I don't understand why can't judges point out such a simple fact afterall Marathas who conquered Delhi just before 3rd battle of Panipat and made the Mughals puppet rulers never laid claim on it so what right do they have.

This case made any other such case for any fort, palace or any such property an open and shut case. If they lost the property to British govt. then it automatically comes under Indian government and no other party has any claim over these properties.

On independence day of 1955, on which many foreign dignitaries came, we announced the integration of Nepal and Bhutan into our country. On this occasion we also announced that the country is also renamed as Bharath.

In the parade we also showed the progress we have made in these 8 years. We showed the new guns, armored vehicles, light weight tanks specially developed for hilly regions of Himalayas, Balochistan and Tibet and normal tanks and our very own fighter jets and military helicopters.

We also showed our new automobiles majority of which were SUVs mainly because India have large families so people like to have cars that can carry as many people as possible. Sports cars and sports bike developed completely in India, transport vehicle etc.

The few things I did after winning in this election was addressing the issues of triple talak, how the husband will have to take care of his ex wife if she is not self dependent and children from her whether they have took divorce or not. And many such issues in muslim community.

There was another law passed that after 50 years of death the grave can be reused for another burial and their can't protest on it as India's population is steadily rising and soon it will run out of burial ground by next century.

A city planning commission was set up to properly plan each and every existing city and to build new coastal cities and cities in Maharashtra to avoid the congestion in Mumbai and keep the prices of rent and land stable.

Addressing this problem many multi storey residential buildings are being constructed in mumbai all of which are 30 to 40 floors tall build in places where they don't block the natural beauty of the landscape. Steps are being taken to reconstruct all of Dharavi so that it becomes a proper residential area instead of a slum it is today.

All the foreign companies that set up their manufacturing plants in India are thoroughly checked to ensure that they are not producing harmful products which may affect people in long term. Any company that is polluting rivers or environment are completely banned from India with all their assets seized until they proper fines for causing pollution and compensate the workers for causing them health issues in long term.

We have already banned ten such companies who were throwing their untreated waste in rivers or manufacturing harmful products.
