"Hello, Rissa!"
The woman turned her head towards him, startled. Looking at her, Ertex had to admit she didn't look bad at all. Her milky skin seemed to be glowing, while her hair, which reached just below her shoulders, was divided into two colors, one half being white and the other half being black.
She had shiny blue eyes and full pink lips, wearing a simple white shirt that was neatly tucked into a pair of gray pants. For accessories, she had a pair of blue earrings and a simple bracelet on her arm. It really looked like this simplicity accentuated her beauty.
"Ah... Yes, hello. I... don't know your name."
Ertex looked at her as he rubbed his chin.
"You're right! I'm Ertex!"
Rissa looked at the hand stretched towards her before reluctantly shaking it.
"Yes. You look kind of different when you are not trying to kill someone... Ertex."
"Really? I'd say I look the same... Anyway! What brings you here?"
Rissa was surprised to see him so joyous, not really being able to keep up with his energy as she looked around.
"I'm trying to grow stronger. I've got a long way to go, but I have to start somewhere."
He nodded as he once again checked her panel.

"Aren't you in luck? I've got the perfect solution for you!"
She looked skeptically at him, not knowing if she should believe him.
"And that is?"
"Attribute points!"
Rissa just sighed. Her fault for having hope.
"They are way too expensive. Last time I heard about someone selling them, he asked for 250 coins for a single one. I don't have that much money to make it worth it."
'250... I was kinda expecting more.'
"Well, I still can give you how many you want. You'll even have two whole weeks to pay me back!"
Rissa pulled her hair, exasperated.
"Two weeks? How will I be able to pay you back in only two weeks?!"
"The same way I make money. Just kill people."
She squinted her eyes, feeling disgusted just thinking about it.
"There's no way I can do that.."
Ertex closed the distance between them, bringing his face closer to hers.
"Didn't you want revenge? Yet you are unable to kill one single human being? Pathetic."
Rissa looked into his eyes, her breath quickening. It was true that she told him she'd take revenge, but even if she tried to fool herself, the answer would always be the same.
She couldn't bring herself to actually hurt someone. Even if she knew she wouldn't be able to forgive herself if she just let go of the hatred she felt for those who wronged her, she couldn't do it. And that scared her.
In her mind, there was only one solution out of this.
"... M-make me.."
"Make you what?"
"Make me kill someone. Teach me how to. Anything... Just... make this feeling disappear!"
Straightening up, he smiled at her.
"That I can do, indeed. Well then..."
Even before Rissa was able to realize that Ertex had wrapped his hand around her waist, they appeared in front of a house.
"I'll go first, alright? You just pay attention. It's not like it's hard to do it."
She watched him break down the door, already feeling guilty without even doing anything. She clenched her fists as she slowly followed him inside.
"Damn. A family of four! Are you eating? My bad, my bad."
A man, a woman, and two kids were sitting around a table, peacefully eating, until their door was suddenly destroyed. The man got up, trying to see what happened and to protect his family, but a hand immediately grabbed his neck.
"What you struggle with is the guilt afterward. There are many people like you, Rissa, and I don't understand any of you. Like, it's easy for you to do the act, but it's hard to accept it? Weird."
The man didn't even had the chance to do anything as his neck was snapped. The kids were crying, while their mother tried to protect them with everything she got.
But it was useless. Ertex slowly walked towards her and grabbed her face, which was full of tears. She tried to break free, kicking her legs and screching him, but he didn't care as he dragged her towards the countertop.
"There are many ways you can kill someone."
He raised her head and bashed it on the countertop. Seeing her still moving, he did it again, and again, and again, until her blood and brains were all over the walls while her body fell limp.
"Today, I'll let you choose if you want to do it painlessly or not."
He turned around, looking at the kids. One was a boy who seemed to be around 6 years old, and the other was a girl looking to be the same age as her brother. He smiled and pointed towards them.
"You kill them."
Hearing him, Rissa felt like vomiting. Her eyes were red from crying, and her face had no color. She was feeling very dizzy, and everything around her was spinning.
"They... are fucking children!"
"No. They are humans. Just like everyone else here, probably. Do it, Rissa."
"I'm not gonna do anything to them, you fucking psycho!"
Chuckling, Ertex appeared in front of her, lifting her chin.
"Calling names, are we? But with what right, I wonder? Weren't you the one who asked for my help? That's exactly what I'm doing right now. So stop whining and kill them, Rissa. I'll do it if you don't. And then you'll regret it even more since they would not die quickly."
Her whole body was trembling, while drops of blood fell from her lip. She was regretting everything. She regretted being born; she regretted telling him not to kill her; she regretted asking him for help.
In her mind, if none of these things had happened, innocent people would not have died today. She cursed herself for everything she did.
Lowering her head, she approached the children, feeling like her body weighted way more than it should.
"Hmm? Would you look at that?"
The boy pushed his sister behind him, shielding her. Ertex laughed, clapping his hands.
"Such a courageous little fucker! Hey, hey... Kill her first."
Rissa has seen many bad people in her life. Often were the times when she had seen people trying to clean themselves in the church. But she never met someone like him, someone so... willingly evil.
She didn't understand how someone like him could exist as a human. She always believed that everyone had a reason for their wrongdoings, but he was the first person to ever make her doubt her conviction.
"I'm sorry! I'm sorry... Please... Don't ever forgive me!"
Arriving in front of the boy, she saw his eyes full of hatred and fear. She lowered herself, touching the boy's chest and pointing her finger towards his heart. A beam of light then pierced through his chest, heart, and back, killing him on the spot, with his sister soon following him.
Just as she was getting up, another round of applause echoed through the kitchen.
"Good job! Was it that hard? How do you feel?"
.
.
.
It didn't make sense! Right until this moment, the guilt she was feeling could have killed her. But where did it go now? Why wasn't she disgusted with herself? No remorse? Not even a tiny bit of sadness!
'I'm just in shock right now... Yeah, that must be it! I'm just to shocked to feel anything right now!'
Seeing her conflicted expression, Ertex couldn't help but smile. He approached her, placing his hands on both sides of her waist and lowering his head towards her ear.
"Don't worry, my dear!"
