Chapter 3

"After the flashback, we get back to Nezuko and Nana."

"Well, I'm here because I want to visit my bestie," Nana said.

"Is that so?" Nezuko said.

"And also, here is some paper that you need to sign," Nana said.

Nezuko took it and read it before signing the paper. Nana was promoted to manager of a branch because the past manager was a scam, and Nana was the most suited at that time, so she was promoted.

"So now enough about work, let's talk a bit like before," Nana said.

"Yeah... Hey, how was your date with Mr. Handsome Chief last night?" Nezuko asked with a smirk.

"Oh, you have no idea. It was like I won a jackpot. He was sweet, charming, and really kind. I want him even more," Nana said with a little blush.

" 'That sounds nice. You better not let him go now, bestie,' Nezuko said. 'Of course, I won't. I ain't stupid to let go of a perfect man, you know,' Nana said. They both laughed, then Nana asked Nezuko something she had been wondering about for the past year. 'Hey Nezuko, can I ask you something? This has been crossing my mind for a year now. I know that you have lived for more than 500 years and you're a complete old hag,' Nana casually said. 'Wait, what did you call me?' Nezuko asked. 'So, I was wondering, have you ever fallen in love during those times? You don't need to answer if you don't want to. I'm not forcing you to answer; I just want to know,' Nana said, completely ignoring Nezuko, who just sighed. 'It's fine, I will answer. Yeah, I have. He was one of the strongest swordsmen in the Taishō era, one of the Hashira and the youngest one. His name was Muichiro Tokito. Also, don't call me an old hag,' Nezuko said."

"Nah, I would keep calling you that," she jokingly said. "But anyways, did you two get together?"

she said. Nezuko sighed before responding, "No, he died during the final battle," Nezuko said.

 "Oh," Nana respond .

"You know, thinking about it made me feel regretful that I never talked to him or even just spent some time with him," Nezuko said. "Did you two never talk?" Nana asked. "Yeah, I was too shy to do so and ended up just ignoring him," Nezuko said, while a drop of tear was rolling down her face. Nana, who saw this, went to hug her immortal friend, and Nezuko hugged back.

"I just wish I had the courage to even talk to him back then," Nezuko said.

After a while, Nezuko came down, and they continued their chat without mentioning Nezuko's love life again.

"Hey Nezuko, you said in the past that you want to find your old friends' reincarnated selves. How exactly are you going to do that?" Nana asked.

"Oh, that's quite easy, actually. I discovered 300 years ago that reincarnated people don't change their presence when they get reincarnated. It will stay the same as their past life. So by that, I just have to remember their presence, and then I will know that it's them," Nezuko said.

"Oh, that's quite easy, actually. I discovered 300 years ago that reincarnated people don't change their presence when they get reincarnated. It will stay the same as their past life.

So by that, I just have to remember their presence, and then I will know that it's them," Nezuko said.

"Wait how did you even discover that?" Nana asked.

"Well, I found a reincarnation of an old enemy named Rui 300 years ago. At first, I only had suspicions that it was him, but that's just it. I then started to make him my friend, and we did become good friends. But then, after 2 years, he started to have some dreams of his past life as the spider demon, and I just said it's just a dream so he could calm down. After that, my suspicions just grew even more. But then, another old enemy showed up. He was the temple demon, the very first demon I faced, and I did what I did to Rui, and it happened to him as well. So my suspicions grew even more. But then, after 6 years, I found an old friend of mine. He was also like a grandpa to me and the one who trained my brother. He may look young, but his presence is just like him. I did the same thing, but this time the signs were different. It wasn't from a dream but a vision that he made a painting of his old house in the mountains and also painted his past self. Ever since that day, I have finally confirmed my suspicions. All 3 of them have different bodies and maybe their personalities as well, but their presence didn't change after reincarnation," Nezuko explained.

"Wow, I would have never thought that was possible if I didn't know you, Nezuko," Nana said.

"Yeah, me too. I never thought it was possible before," Nezuko said.

"But anyways, enough before our minds explode," Nana said.

Nezuko just laughed a bit. "Yeah, I agree," she said.

Nana then remembered something.

"Hey, Nezuko, did you hear about this writer named Jin Himiko?" Nana said.

"Yeah, why?" Nezuko said.

"I heard he is in the city right now with some of his friends," Nana said.

"Seriously, his books are one of the most sold books these days," Nezuko said.

"I know, right... Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Nana said with a smirk.

"Oh, I am and I'm in," Nezuko said with a smirk.

They then went to one of Nezuko's cars and went to the city to find this writer. They parked their car somewhere you don't need to know and then started to walk around. It was Nana's day off, so they had the entire day to waste on some nonsense activities like finding a famous writer that they probably won't find.

They were walking for 2 hours now, and they still have no idea where this writer is. They also brought some of his books that they own just in case they manage to find him so they can have an autograph... Oh come on, you can't just go and try to meet a famous person without asking for an autograph.

But all of a sudden, Nezuko felt 3 familiar presences. She just forgot who they belonged to while she was figuring out who those presences belonged to. She then bumped into someone.

And she looks at who she bumped into; she suddenly recognizes who those presences belong to.

"N-Nezuko," the person she bumped into said.
