Training of a century.

Chapter 13.

I wrapped my fist as Yumeko made her way upstairs. She paused and I heard her call out my name.

"Ichigo! She called out as I looked up to see her flash a brief smile.

"Win". I smiled back and gave myself a reasonable space from Rin, who was busy smiling. I took a deep breath as I was starting to get nervous as the arena started getting filled up with other higher ranked ghouls of Yumeko's selection.

"you ready to do this? Are you even sure you can? Rin asked and cracked his bones. I stared at him, gulping the saliva in my mouth.

"Y-Yes". I mumbled and he let out a short laugh. "forget it kid, it will take you a thousand years to get up to my level". He snapped and I thought to myself, I have heard this words before.

But where? I can't quite remember. I paused and recalled hearing these words from the man hunter doctor before I blacked out.

I gnashed my teeth as I felt mistreated, I hated being called a loser or looked on as a prick. I might ha e hated this ghoul stuff but don't dare call me weak.

I groaned and drew my Kagune out. "The question is Rin, are you ready to beg for your life". I snapped even harder and cracked my fingers to the terror.

I was now confident in my self, I took a glance at Yumeko who watched from the standings with a cold face.

"the stage is set. For your demise, little mouse". Rin said and I heard a whooshing sound.

He was like a flash, vansihing and appearing behind me. I saw it late and got cut up in his Kagune. He wiped me against the wall but I got a good hold of my stamina. Scratching my feet to the floor and immediately rushing back at Rin.

We apparently both had the same thought as we clashed our kagune's together in a daring battle of who could possibly win. I shouted in a triumphant voice as I pushed him back even forward.

He chuckled and muttered "Not bad for a little nerd".

"shut up!. I snapped at him and pushed myself further up, forcing him to back down. The ground was already cracking up and smashing apart as our kagune's clashed again and again.

"You're strong but I am stronger". Rin snapped and pulled himself up, treating up my defense and giving me a good wipe against the wall.

I gushed out blood and felt as though I had factures my rib or so. I moaned in a bitter sense of pain from the wall I laid and struggled to get back up. I saw him walking effortlessly from his own end of the field and in spilt seconds, stood in front of me. He swinged his hand at me, gripping my neck and lifting me up. He plot to have me choked in his hands and grinned as he enjoyed it.

"thought you were a strong lad. I guess you're not after all". He mumbled and let me have it. Tightening his grip against my neck to force me to tap out.

I gagged and tried to screech his hands off but he had a good grip on me. I caught a glimpse of Yumeko with other ghouls, staring at me and muttering words to each other.

"I-I won't quit". I spluttered out and used my feet to kicked against his jawline. He staggered back and dropped me. I was still recovering from that shock, breathing heavily and rubbing my neck.

"You little…" he snapped and I got up, forcing my Kagune to my right hand in a pattern of a curling sword. I paced at him and purged my sword at him. He dodged it effortlessly and in that moment, I knew, I just knew.

I was slammed against the walls for a second time and he paced at me. With zero time to recover, I was hit multiple times with punches, that I felt I had lost my vision. He was fast and precise.

He punches were strong and made me feel light headed. It was as though he was planning to break me into the concrete walls. He grabbed the collar of my top and swinged me over to the center of the arena. I landed and gushing out all the blood I had harbored up. My feet, stomach, jaw, face and head hurt.

Even my eyes couldn't open up for a minute or two. I only caught the rare sight of him, pulling out his Kagune into a curling sword on his right arms and vanishing before me.

"Huh? I gasped as he appeared behind me. I was still on the verge of completing my 360 degree turn, when I heard the sound of metal greasing the ground and wheeling up to my face.
