She's persistent Part 2

"Amamiya? What do you mean by Amamiya killing Mr. Kou. Did she really stoop down that far? Tell me what do you know?", a certain man ask out of nowhere after hearing a statement.

There mark in his face intrigue and shock unlike what he just said to the girl.

"Fufufu... So that's you're into, Senpai," the girl said with a wolf-cut hair style, you know, that typical short haired girls. With a flower clip on the right side of her head and having an ember colored eyes. "So, would you help me?"

"Crap, she's using cheap tactics to lure me into accepting her offer, huh," he said to himself. Toby cooled his head for a few seconds to avoid letting lose his control of himself.

"Now, tell me, what do you know about Amamiya?", he ask calmly to the girl. Now he is up for listening to her words but still up his guard in case the girl would do something malicious.

"No, I cannot," the girl uttered.

"Huh? What's your deal?"

"You still didn't accept my offer. So that means, your reward depends on your answer, hehe," the girl says while giggling to Toby to have him accept her.

"Ugh! God, she's still persistent, huh," he's having his internal monologue. "Amamiya did what? Now I see her lies from the beginning. She really did get rid of Masamune Kou after I passed out."

The girl holds out her hands covering her mouth while mumbling fufufu, she shown her cute side to Toby.

"Hmm, now Senpai, would you help me find the cat?", she once again said.

"Aren't you have friends or something? How about have them give you a hand instead of me."

"Ugh!" Out of a sudden, the girl slouched her head to the side looking like embarrassed.

"Actually... T-their busy right now..."

"Huh? Do you mean. Aren't you just don't have any friends, aren't you?", Toby asks noticing her sudden gestures despite knowing that she's popular with the first years.

"Aren't you one to talk?", the girl deflects back the attack to Toby.

"Well, it's true I don't have have many comrades, I'm good to settle with that. Having 3 to 4 friends is enough you know."

"What's with you, Senpai? Aren't that supposed to be sad, you poor thing," the mocks his social life.

"Let me clear it about, you don't need that much people, they're just distraction to your goals. You just need to have those who are willing to help become a better person." He starts to talk like a preacher ignoring the fact that his friends forced him to play video games all day long even in afterlife.

"Se-se-senpai," the girl said after being moved by his fake compassion.

"Well, it's still a sad thing to lose those people beside you, literally," he is referring to Hikaru.

"Then how about you, I've been like a fake guru here so tell me why me not your friends."

"I-it's not like I don't have any friends or something. It's just that I'm only popular with the guys in our year. T-the other girls look like they're not good when I'm around because they thought I garner all the attention from other people. I'm not really that good expressing myself to them who aren't fond of my presence. That's why I don't have many close friends in my class that I could ask for help regarding this matter. That's all I could say for now. A-ahah... Please don't say to others what I just said, Senpai.... Huh? Senpai?"

"Hmm, so that's it, huh. Continue, continue," he mumbled while writing in his journal and attentively listening to her personal story, this might be a good asset for him.

"Se-senpai? What the-! Why a glasses all of a sudden."

*cough

"Okay, jokes aside. Why me?", he asks.

"Hmm, I cannot tell you that right now, Senpai. But when the time comes, I'll spill it out to you. Then, would you help me find the cat?"

Toby putted his finger on top of his mouth while his arm is leaning to his another arm crossing his chest.

"I refuse. My answer is still no," he harshly replied.

"But, Senpai..." She has a teary eye after her efforts go to waste after his fourth or maybe fifth refusal.

"However," he says, "I'm interested with your testimony against Amamiya. It's too bad I cannot force you to spill out everything. I'll help you find the cursed creature."

"Ahh, really, Senpai?", the girl said.

"But, be sure to tell everything you know and what you have seen in the last 3 weeks, okay?"

"Yes, Senpai. But... Why change of hearts though. Aren't you said you're not willing to help? What really did happen between you two and Amamiya-senpai."

"If it's only about Amamiya of course I'll turn her right off the bat. But, she knows the facts that Mr. Kou exist at the first place so her words have slight plausibility than Amamiya does," he said to himself.

"No, nothing. Anyways, meet me in the library tommorow since I don't have anything to do so we can plan out your action properly," he muttered with a confident tone.

"Yes, Senpai. Thank you very much for accepting," the girl said while bowing down her head.

Toby turned away and walks forward back to their classroom leaving the girl behind in the dark hallway.

As if the weather has a constipation and the clouds were very dark where rain will start to fall in any moment.

*woosh

The gales brushes to the window marking the strong blow of wind in the school ground.

Toby entered the classroom and quickly sat on his seat as the teacher starts the class the same time he managed to go back.

Out of a sudden, Hina uttered words to him in which he haven't heard ever since 3 weeks ago.

Meanwhile,

"Yes, Nee-san. He took on the bait," the girl uttered in a rather cold voice. Holding her IPhone close to her ears looking like she's calling someone. A grin in her face emerged as she took on a delight.

...

Nighttime and Toby is lying in his bed alone, in his room, in their own house. Just like in the chapter 1, there's nothing much to do so he scrolls in to social media like a normal modern age people.

Earlier it said that he is one of the top students in the school and I'm not joking about that. Although, studying is not his forte. But how could he become that brilliant without any effort in studying?

Let's say that he's one of those people who were very keen in intelligence and logical thinking, simply he's just being logical. There's always time for him to put his brain on grind but only if those topics caught his interest. Other than that, 30% studying, 30% analyzing, 40% delusioning.

"Another anomaly will come? What did she mean by that," Toby uttered after reminiscing what Hina has said earlier in the classroom.

He puts his phone aside and he stood up from the bed. Walking 2 feet forward with his socks on and usual house outfit, navy-blue T-shirt and beige colored shorts.

He picked up the laptop sitting over the desk next to the door. It's your usual Otaku desks with bookshelf full of mangas and light novel, compartment for his PS4 device and unusual literature notes on the below shelf of the desk.

He sat back to his bed and slowly opened the laptop.

"Alright, let me confirm something first," he mumbles while trying to search something in the web.

"So that's it, huh," he utters. "She rightfully lied behind her tongue to force me to follow. As what I expected."

He placed the laptop over the bed and immediately leaves the room for a minute.

There written on the screen where the cat that the girl suppose to find doesn't got lost but actually found 1 week ago.

The girl is up to something.
