Chapter 059: Ambushing Teams

The situation on the battlefield was changing rapidly. Konoha and Sunagakure were using all kinds of tactics to gain the advantage in the battle.

The medic team behind Konoha were attacked by an elite squad, but eventually they were repelled by the Konoha ninja's stubborn resistance.

After this battle, Sunagakure was estimated to not be able take action for at least a period of time. The disappearance of the Third Kazekage and their defeat against Konoha, these two things would seriously hit the prestige of their village.

The reduction in mission volume was inevitable. If the Land of Wind Daimyo couldn't support his village at this time, Sunagakure would hardly be able to do anything in the Third Great Ninja War.

After Sunagakure retreated, Orochimaru didn't order the pursuit of the fleeing opponents. As one of the Five Great Ninja Villages, Sunagakure still had a deep foundation. "Hey kid! You're lucky to be alive till now!" Chizuru gave Asahi a cold look, and said bluntly.

"Well, I have to thank you for that, Captain Chizuru." Asahi said with a slight smile. 

"Humph! We are going to chase Sunagakure's remaining members. Are you following us or returning to the camp to treat the wounded?" Chizuru asked angrily. 

"Asahi, you should follow us." At this time, another jonin named Ito said, "While following Sunagakure's remaining ninjas, although no one can guarantee how strong the ninjas we encounter will be. As a medical-nin, you can follow us with the peace of mind." 

Asahi glanced around, almost all ninjas were chunin-rank or higher, and many of them were jonin. Rather than returning to the camp to treat the wounded, it seemed good idea to follow them. 

With this thought on his mind, he nodded, and said, "Okay, I'll follow you guys then." 

"Let's go!" Chizuru first rushed off, chasing alongside everyone towards the escaping Sunagakure ninjas.

With a slight sound, Asahi pierced the heart of a sand ninja with a kunai, pulled it out, and blood splattered immediately. The ninja's face was showing unwillingness, and his eyes were staring at him, but in the end he could only fall to the ground with hatred and die once and for all. 

'Seven!' He thought secretly, and then quickly withdrew. 

It was too easy to pick up the weak ninjas from behind the jonin's back. The general Sunagakure team could basically be abused casually. Along the way, their group of people had eliminated five Sunagakure teams, he also took the opportunity to kill five chunins. 

"Asahi, someone is injured here!" A ninja shouted. 

At the end of the battle, two Konoha ninjas were injured, and he immediately ran to perform [Healing Jutsu] to help them heal. 

[Healing Jutsu] was the advanced version of [Curing Jutsu], it could quickly stimulate the cells and allow the wounds to heal. In just five minutes, the injured ninja had recovered almost completely. Even if the following battle becomes fierce, the wound would not open again.

"It's done. Is anyone else injured?" Asahi asked. 

"There is no more." Ito jonin said.

"Captain!" A ninja staggered to the front of Chizuru and whispered, "Captain, my chakra has already depleted, and now even my ninja tool have been used up, I'm really sorry, I can't fight anymore."

"Okay." Chizuru nodded, and then shouted, "Since there are some who can't continue to fight, you can return to the camp!" 

By now, many people were exhausted. After hearing Chizuru, most of the ninjas decided to return to the camp. There was only two jonin, two chunin, and Asahi, a total of 5 people left.

"Humph! Let's continue!" Chizuru snorted with dissatisfaction.

After walking in the forest for a while, a sensory-type ninja called Yamazaki suddenly raised her hand to signal everyone to stop, and then said, "There are sand ninja ahead, there's about seven people." 

Chizuru after hearing this, made a few hand seals, signaled a ninja and Yamazaki to come forward and probe the enemy's information. 

Lurking in the woods, Yamazaki and the ninja concealed their aura, approaching the group of Sunagakure quietly, watching their movement. 

It seemed that they were tired of escaping. This group of sand ninjas unlike any other Sunagakure team, decided not to escape during this difficult situation, but instead they stopped there to rest, as if they weren't in a hurry to escape. 

"Hehehe… There are two rats here." A Sunagakure ninja casually gazed at Yamazaki's hiding place and whispered.

"Not good! They also have sensory-type ninjas. We are exposed!" Yamazaki cried out in surprise, pulling herself out and turned to run away.
