4/2/5/5/5 A hopeful review. As it stands, there's not much content in this story to accurately judge, but with the way it's progressing I could absolutely see myself placing this fanfiction in my category of favorites. The setting is perfect, set just after the 2nd ninja war, with the protagonist being in the same year as Team Minato. The protagonist Asahi is a little cold/stoic due to the seriousness of his situation (having been placed just before the 3rd war), but he can sometimes let out his more fun side when he gets worked up, this makes for a compelling character to follow and one that's easy to insert/immerse yourself with. The translation is a bit stiff and hard to follow at times but it's more than passable. My hope for this series dwindles a bit when I see how the translator at one point just left this series sitting without updates for a month, so I'm afraid I have to take away several stars there.

Story is just overall very mid. U don’t really get attached to anyone and Mc is super distant.
