Chapter 048: Trying To Get A Master

To be honest, chakra-nature training was really difficult. Kakashi in the anime once said that to complete this training, it takes years for people with talent. After all, not everyone is like Naruto who could perform [Multi Shadow Clone Jutsu] without being bothered.

Asahi had a very strong control over his chakra, but even so, it might take him at least a few years to complete this training. 

For things such as training, it must not be done in a hurry. Strength needs time to accumulate. If he try to gain power too fast, he could end up hurting himself. 

Asahi couldn't help but have a headache with the leaves in his hands. 

In the past, he relied on his excellent chakra-control to learn ninjutsu quickly. Even [Healing Jutsu], which stumped most of the medical-nin, he was able quickly master it. But he didn't expect, that now he's stuck in the early stages of chakra's nature-change for so long. 

As of now, Asahi could only endure this training, and progress little by little. 

"Didn't expect you to come back alive." 

Just as he was focused on training, a woman's voice sounded from behind him. Turning around, it turned out to be Tsunade.

Tsunade did not hide her footsteps or presence at all, and so Asahi had long felt someone approaching. However, since the visitor didn't bother to hide herself, it meant that it wasn't someone hostile to him, so Asahi had no precautions. 

"Tsunade nee-san, why are you here?" Asahi asked with a happy face.

"Why can't I come here?" Tsunade asked him back with an unhappy look. 

Asahi hearing this could only helplessly roll his eyes and reply, "Tsunade nee-san is one of the Legendary Sannin, and of course you can go anywhere. But if you come to the woods to have a secret meeting with me in the middle of the night, aren't you afraid someone will spread rumors?" 

*Bang*

Tsunade waved her fist arbitrarily, leaving a deep mark on a large tree with a diameter of fifty centimeters, shook her hand, and said casually, "I don't think someone will spread such gossip." 

"..." Asahi massaged his forehead a little. In the future, it's better not to tell a joke to this violent woman. Fortunately, he's still a child, otherwise Tsunade might have blown him away.

Asahi catch it and explained, "It's a doll. It's a toy…"

"You brat! Don't try to guess about other people thoughts. What would a little kid like you know?" Tsunade hearing this was a little angry, and her tone became sharper. 

Feeling the changes in Tsunade, he continued: "I don't know anything. I'm an orphan and lived in village since I was a child. Although I have nothing to worry about, I also have no relatives around me and so I can only talk to animals about my issues. But Tsunade nee-san is a woman, so I thought it would be better to talk to a doll."

For a violent woman like Tsunade, he believed that no one have ever thought of giving her a doll. 

After looking at Tsunade for a while, Asahi continued, "I am very grateful to you for teaching me the method of increasing cell activity, I was able to survive on the battlefield cause of it. So I prepared this gift to thank Tsunade nee-san!"

Having said that, he threw the doll back. After Tsunade caught it, she didn't threw it back. It seems that she chose to accept it. 

"You don't have to thank me, I didn't expect you to survive." Tsunade said dismissively. 

"Whether or not Tsunade nee-san accepts my thanks, I still thank you sincerely. This matter can be regarded as a life-saving grace." Asahi said. 

Seeing that Tsunade no longer talked about the topic just now, he didn't continue to mention it, he still understood to not to push his act too much. 

"I heard that you did well on the frontline?" Tsunade asked softly. 

"I'm just trying to help the village win this war, but I'm too weak to provide any kind of big contribution." Asahi shook his head. 

"Then now, why are you not on the frontline and helping the village, instead back in the village?" Tsunade asked lightly with a snort. 

"It was Orochimaru-sama who brought me back." Asahi said, "I met Hokage-sama today, and he that I have talent in medical-ninjutsu, which can help reduce our ninjas' casualties. So, he hopes that I join the medic team. I refused at first, after all, I'm more interested in learning ninjutsu, but for the sake of the village, I promised Hokage-sama."

"Brat, do you look down on medical-ninjutsu?" Tsunade said with a slight unhappy tone. 

"Not at all, medical-ninjutsu is also very powerful." Hearing this, he quickly said shaking his head, "It's just that... for a man like me, since I want to contribute, shouldn't it be better to be on the frontline?" 

"Who says medical-nin can't make a contribution on the battlefield!" Tsunade shouted dissatisfied. 

"Everyone says that a true ninja is strong." Asahi said. "But during times of war, a medical-nin is also very useful." 

After returning from Konoha Hospital today, he took some time to analyze Tsunade's mind. It was based on the degree of love for Konoha that she showed in the original book, and that she's suffering from hemophobia that doesn't allow her to go in the battlefield.

Seeing Tsunade sleeping in her office today, he concluded that maybe these past few days Tsunade was in a bad mood. 

In order to ensure a smooth visit to Tsunade, he decided to stimulate her a little bit, so that Tsunade could impart to him a true offensive jutsu from her arsenal - [Chakra Enhanced Strength].

"Tsunade nee-san, do you know what Hokage-sama said about me today?" Asahi asked Tsunade while blinking innocently.

"What did he say?" Tsunade asked indifferently. 

Asahi smiled and said, "Hokage-sama said, that when Tsunade nee-san was my age, her medical-ninjutsu was not as good as mine!" 

"Damn it! That old man obviously lied to you, did you believe him?" Tsunade said unhappily. 

A talent in medical-ninjutsu that even the Third Hokage praised, coupled with Asahi's accomplishments in medical-ninjutsu, he didn't believe that with the goodwill Tsunade had for him, there would not be at least an idea in her mind about teaching him. 

'Fortunately, I'm a child, or I wouldn't be able to convince these people.' He thought. 

"Were you just practicing the changes of chakra-nature?" Tsunade asked, looking at the leaves on the ground. 

"Yeah! I have earth-attribute chakra, and I'm doing chakra-nature change training for the same." Asahi already knew all the questions Tsunade might ask him, and he was actually being very honest in answering her. 

He remembered a saying from his previous-life. "If you want others to treat you with honesty, you must first treat others with sincerity." 

He approached Tsunade purposefully. But to be recognized by her, he must be honest with Tsunade. Asahi could get acquainted with Tsunade in these two years was precisely because he's very honest to Tsunade and never lied about the questions she asked.
