Chapter 047: Changes In Chakra-Nature

After coming out of Hokage Building, Asahi wiped the sweat from his forehead. 

Acting in front of the Hiruzen was really tiring. After all, Hiruzen could see the ambition even in Orochimaru's eyes at a glance. He must not let himself reveal a weak spot. Fortunately, when Hiruzen saw through Orochimaru's ambitions, Orochimaru was still a child. Asahi, though small, had an adult soul.

Chakra attribute change was a required course for any ninja who wanted to be strong. Asahi was now studying the changes of Earth-attribute chakra. 

Earth-style ninjutsu was a bit lacking than Fire-style, Lightning-style, and Wind-style in its attack power, rather it's more inclined to defend and assist. Although the offensive ability is weak, it couldn't be said that Earth-style was not powerful as other attributes. In fact, the five basic types of chakra nature, Wind, Thunder, Water, Fire, and Earth, each have their strengths and weaknesses, and they restrain each other.

There were many directions for each chakra-attribute. Depending on the needs of the ninja who performing the said ninjutsu, they were allowed to choose different qualitative directions. 

His choice for earth-attribute chakra was weight. 

Earth-attribute is earth. It could carry all animals and plants. If his Earth-style ninjutsu's attack could be like earth, ignoring everything above it and carrying immense power. How strong would it be? 

But for now, all this was just fantasy, Asahi was still in the stage of playing with leaves. 

Just after dinner, it's not suitable for strenuous exercise, but was good enough to practice the changes of chakra-nature. 

Testing earth-attribute chakra on a chakra paper and it would appear shattered. Chakra paper is very sensitive to attribute changes, so it could have an effect immediately, but the leaves' sensitivity to chakra is very low. If he could use earth-attribute chakra to shatter these leaves, the first-stage of his training would be almost complete. 

This was not the method he thought of, but the method that Naruto trained in the original anime for his Wind-style chakra. 

He doesn't know if this method would work for his earth-style chakra, but it could only be tried first as he was without any guidance in this area.
