Chapter Sixteen: God?

Chapter Sixteen: God?

In A Meeting.

Derex was in attendance of one of those meetings he never liked attending.

This was a bigger one at that and he didn't want to pose as being disrespectful to them so he adhered to their invitation.

"All say ye in attendance with raised palms." this was the usual procedure which Derex never liked following. He just rolled his and yawned into his palm as the meeting was boring.

He was bored, he just came to this one because they informed him there was something special they'd like to discuss with him. Derex was clad in a black suit that fit his body; exposing his muscles, as usual he crossed his legs seated at the top.

"We have made some development." this was Alpha Kieren. "We'd appreciate you give kind listening ears to us before opinions could be said. I believe, we believe, in correction, that our second-ranking Alpha should take the vacant seat."

"And who said the All Alpha's seat was a vacant spot?" Derex's voice carried might.

"We know you're his Beta, but you know the All Alpha's the only one capable of making an Alpha and so some of his powers are in them. Alpha Damon, the second ranking Alpha, the one our Supreme lord picked to be second to him, someone who has also worked hard to show his worth should rule us at the mean time."

Another said, "Yes. You are his Beta but let us remind you you are not an Alpha!"

"What sort of ludicrous statement is that!?" blasted Alpha Jacobb in a thunderous tone.

"Sit down Alpha Jacobb! You're not so high yourself!" matured men released snickers and Derex just watched this incredulous show. "Alpha Damon should sit where you sit. He should tell us the territories whe should extend to."

Derex sensed a foul play. A one-sided speech showed Damon had bribed them with something, convinced them to act and speak in his favour.

Another hard-faced Alpha spoke, "We the members of the high court have come to a conclusion to vote. All hands should be raised that want our Alpha to take over, as it should be!"

Damon smudged* at this.

His face was serious than ever.

Many hands rose but s few were down.

"I object!" Derex finally thundered.

Alpha Kieran went on, "Majority carries the vote."

"What would the Supreme Alpha say?"

He retorted, "Where is the Supreme Alpha?"

"Sit down Derex! I've tolerated you speak disrespectfully to all of us, especially me who should be feared. I've feigned niceness enough, you should see the real me now. Perhaps you're just scared? Guess the territory I'd first take over?" Damon warned.

Derex stood in annoyance. "You wouldn't dare."

"Sidekick! You are not THE Alpha. Remember the promise I made to you the last time? Your dearest wouldn't be so pleased."

"Aaargh!" Derex lunged towards Damon who equally groaned. They punched each other and soon both displayed red glowing eyes.

Few furnitures were already wrecked and the men stood against each other. Derex's fangs came out and his red eyes seemed as though flames were coming out. Yes, even Damon's eyes glowed as it was a trait of strong Alphas.

Derex, as a Beta, eyes shouldn't be able to glow red but they thought it was somehow possible since he was the direct Beta to their Supreme.

Damon wanted to attack, displaying why he was crowned the second strongest but Derex's part wolf form surfaced ripping his shirt exposing acient tattoos.

He resembled a monster and face changed completely. He was a walking demon sashaying the face of the Earth and everyone felt his presence.

He sped towards Alpha Damon who was now shuddering.

"P-p.. please.." he whimpered.

Derex's fangs came out and at that moment, everyone knew he wasn't an ordinary Beta. All the werewolves felt a painful presence for this was their All-Alpha in their front.

All werewolves present bowed with no hesitation.

Derex recovered himself and snapped back into his human form and instantly face palmed. He didn't mean to reveal his form.

Damon, who was previously being throttled fell harshly to the floor and began coughing. After regaining himself, he knelt down in a bow equally showing his respect. No one present knew of this.

Derex's power was in all the werewolves present. He was the one that made all of them what they are. If he took his powers back from Damon, then he'd die immediately having glowing light send back into All Alpha Derex.

He spoke to Damon, who was now the dog bowing to his owner, "You can act. But promise me you know your limit."

"Yes, my L-Lord.." Damon stammered.

Wendy laid on a white bed, and by her side was Derex. Yes, she knew he was the All Alpha all along but didn't say a word. Wendy has been in love with the All Alpha for a long time.

She pledged her loyalty to him, although she never feigned being Luciana's friend.

They had just finished being intimate and the pigtailed rested her body on his well defined masculine physique. He lit up a cigar and began inhaling.

"Why did you black out that time you and Luciana fought?" asked Wendy. "You can't tell me she's that strong, is she?"

He laughed slightly.

"Well Wendy, I was trying not to hurt her."

"You like her?"

There was a pause after Wendy asked Derex this and his eyes devoid an answer being cut off guard at the moment. He then rubbed her back. "Wendy, you know why I'm doing all this."

She snuggled him more, "Yes. I trust you. You'll protect her. So it was all an act."

"My inner wolf sensed threat and wanted to attack. I was trying to suppress my vicious stubborn wolf who preferred being in control all the time. If I ever let him out, he'd jump at any opportunity to devour anything he sees. He would've killed Luciana, luckily I won the inner battle. Though it cost me my consciousness. If he's in me and can do such, then what more to others outside." He then dragged the smoke from the cigar. "It happens like that sometimes, leaving me sick."

Wendy expressed sympathy, "You must be struggling seriously." she soothed his chest.

He went on to explain. "It's a curse I bear. I have three forms; my human form, which is who I am now, my part wolf form who is a bit wicked but obeys some of the things I say. Then..my wolf. He is ... I don't wanna talk about him. He just has a terrible mind of his own."

~Red City ~ At Night~

Luciana knocked on the door of Derex's room again at night and he opened it after few minutes.

"It seems I have to prepare myself for your nocturnal visits." He placed his hand on the door's frame. He then told her to come and she took steps inside. The door then banged behind them. Derex yawned, wiping his face with a palm.

He later added,

"If you're here because you feel threatened by my statement, don't worry. I'll talk to the All Alpha about it." he smirked then rushed to the door, releasing uncertainty in the atmosphere. Then the next thing Luciana knew was that he locked the door, returning to her later.

"Unless you're here for something else?"

It took a little while but Luciana release a blasting chortle into the atmosphere. She then tried covering her mouth to prevent herself from laughing further.

"Is this what you looking the door's all about? Last time I remember, I won our last battle." she bluntly pronounced. "You're harmless."

Derex slowly went closer to her. She was seated on a desk dressed in a short blue night dress. He approached her from between her thighs placing his strong arm against the wall.

Slowly, his face drew nigh and Luciana gulped. "I wouldn't be so sure of that." Derex confessed, offering a sly smile.

DEAR JULIETTA.
