As soon as her car halted she felt her heart in her mouth as she hastily got down

The middle age woman that she almost hit was frozen in shock

"Ma'am I am very sorry" meimei rushed to apologize

"No no I should have the road very well before I cross" the woman said sincerely

"Are you okay?" Meimei checked if she had any injuries

"I am okay just a little shocked" she said kindly.

"No let me take you to the hospital" meimei helped her to the car even though the woman protested

In order to avoid more accidents drove with in the speed limit and in less than twenty minutes they arrived at the hospital

She came down hurriedly and helped the woman out

Meimei Waited anxiously at the door as the doctor ran diagnosis on her inside

Creak! The door opened and the doctor came out

"How's she?" She asked.

"There's no problem, apart from shock she's alright" the doctor smiled as she explained

After all its been a long time he had seen someone anxious over someone they almost hit, if it were someone else they'd just five her compensation money and go their way.

"Great, that's good" she was relieved

"Yeah, we prescribed some drugs for her it seems she isn't in good health prior to this, if you had hit her even if it was a minor accident she would have been In a critical situation" the doctor said

"Oh, can I go see her?" She asked

"Hmm yes of course you. Can" he stepped aside as she went in

In the ward the woman was lying fraily on the bed

Because of how restless she was before she didn't have time to check the woman

Now staring at her she felt she looked familiar

"Ma'am are you alright" she asked

"Of course, told you not to bother" the woman chuckled silently

As she tried to sit up on the bed meimei helped her and thus had a closer look of her face

She gasp in surprise upon recognising her

"Aunt Zhou?" She said

The woman called Aunt Zhou looked up feeling surprised

"You know me?" She asked surprised meimei knew her surname

"Of course aunt Zhou its Ling Mei!" She said

"Ling mei? Of the Ling family? Meimei?" She muterred and meimei shook her head

"Yes aunt it's me" she hugged her excitedly

'Sheesh she had almost hit someone she knew, thank goodness it didn't happen because she would have blamed herself'

Happy, she took a seat on her bed

"Wow? You have grown so big?" Aunt Zhou's eyes shone as she glanced at her

Meimei felt very happy, thinking back at what had happened she felt saddened

Aunt Zhou was an house keeper when she was still the Ling family daughter and heiress 7years ago

Aunt Zhou had worked for two years in the Ling family before being fired by her former father because of her willfulness

Even though she was a spoilt and arrogant girl at that time she knew how to take Care of People who genuinely cared for her like aunt Zhou had

But after she was dismissed from the house she couldn't find her no matter how she tried

"Where did you go to back then I searched for you?" Meimei's reddened

"To avoid your fathers wrath and not to incur his anger I had to hide" aunt Zhou said with a gentle smile

Thinking how angry her father was that day it was reasonable she hide but she missed the woman who showed her motherly love when her mother didn't

"He's not my father anymore" she pouted

'Jeez as a mother of two you shouldn't do things childish' she cautioned herself

"No matter what happened he is..." Aunt Zhou tried to pacify her

Even if she had hide away from the Ling family she knew all that had happened

"Just rest aunt, I will take care of you" she changed the topic

She had asked the doctor and he said she could be discharged tomorrow

"Where do you live?" She asked remembering she needed to know where she will drop her

"That....go home first we will discuss that tomorrow" aunt Zhou said but the change in he mood was obvious

Not wanting to disturb her further meimei left

By the time she got home it was already past nine at night

The kids were at the door pacing to and fro like an annoyed husband waiting for his cheating wife

Seeing her kids like this meimei had a guilty look on her face

After all she has promised to come back early yet it was past dinner time

"Mommy!" Lilly yelled happily upon seeing her mother

After she had hugged her finished she turned serious

"Where were you?" Lily started questioning

"You said you won't be late!" Henry interrupted, as he narrowed his little eyes .

He was suspecting Gu mohan

"Yes I promised" meimei was helpless as jer kids questioned her

"After answering them then come face me" Mira suddenly said and meimei looked up

She was sitting on the couch with popcorn in her hands as she watched TV

Meimei was speechless, you weren't even anxious but you want an explanation?

"Mommy is very sorry, she ran into a little accident and all is well now, she won't do it again" she coaxed them as she drew them to her embrace

"Okay fine" lily nodded

"What accident?" Henry asked

'Maybe its not gu mohan' he thought

"I almost hit someone, thankfully the person is someone I know she's like a grandma to you, I'd bring her to meet you in the future" she smiled

"Oh, hope she's alright" Lilly asked ...

"Yes she is, now go to bed" she said since they had taken their dinner

She then turned to mira

"You are in bad mood!" Meimei stated confidently seeing her actions

"No* she denied and stuffed in some popcorn

"Yes you are, Matt?" Meimei sat beside her in attempt to talk it out

"No, why don't you talk about why you are late" she changed the topic

"C'mon mira, don't keep changing the subject!" Meimei wanted to talk to her about matt once and for all

"I am off to bed" Mira got up

Meimei sighed, it seems their issues isn't gonna be resolved in a day or two

She slumped extremely tired

She was about to stand up when her phone vibrated

Upon unlocking the screen her face turned red in embarrassment and she could not help but curse
