The tragedy of rain

Three cups of hot chocolate were neatly arranged in front of the three people sitting in a small rectangular room with various furniture in it.

"Wow, it's raining a lot," Kevin said, breaking the silence.

Cassie looked at the window, 'why hasn't the rain stopped'

"Sir, do you like to drunk?" Kevin's joke made Cassie hit his arm spontaneously,

"What? I'm just asking" Kevin continued

Lucca raised one corner of her lips "I can even drink all day," she said confidently

"Wow... We have the same taste. You should know I'm the reigning drinking champion among my friends" Kevin clapped his hands enthusiastically.

Lucca chuckled at Kevin's behavior which he found funny, "Don't call me sir, just call me brother. My age and your sister's age are not that different."

Kevin smiled awkwardly, "Is that okay? Okay, brother. Oh yeah, name-"

"Lucca, just call me Lucca"

"Alright, Brother Lucca" Kevin smiled, it seemed that from now on he found a new friend to get along with.

"Sis, do you have any alcohol in stock? I want to test if you're really strong" Kevin joked and this time it really made Lucca laugh lightly.

Cassie didn't answer, her eyes looked at Kevin and Lucca in turn "You don't intend to get drunk in my house do you?" asked Cassie a little worried, because she was the only woman in this house. It could be bad if these two men got drunk together.

As if they had a newly established telepathy, Kevin and Lucca looked at each other and smiled a smile that made Cassie shake her head.

'It's like you guys are just getting to know each other, but why does Kevin seem to be so familiar with Mr. Lucca already' Cassie wondered.

"Alright, I'm going to get some drunks, wait a minute," Kevin said getting up from his seat and going out with an umbrella.

"Kevin" called Cassie trying to stop him 'that kid, how dare he leave me alone with this man' Cassie muttered to herself

Cassie smiled awkwardly when her eyes met Lucca's, "I'm sorry sir, my brother is not very polite" Cassie said feeling bad about her younger brother's behavior.

"It's okay, he's still a teenager his mind is still immature." Lucca took a sip of the remaining hot chocolate in her glass.

Cassie played with her hands, the atmosphere was very awkward and made Cassie's heart beat faster than usual.

Cassie had never imagined that she would be sitting alone with the CEO's son and that this man would be the CEO's deputy in the future.

"Is this your house? Or..." asked Lucca breaking the silence created for the umpteenth time.

"Yes, this is my house. My parents' house to be precise." Cassie smiled remembering her current whereabouts

"Where are your parents?" Lucca's question really made Cassie smile widely.

Cassie looked at the small frame perched on the table, "My parents have been dead since I was 19, I've been living with Kevin ever since."

Cassie's eyes heated up, this wasn't the atmosphere she wanted, "I'm sorry, I've said too much." Cassie wiped the water from her eyes

Lucca was transfixed, she didn't know the harsh reality "No, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to open your old wounds," she said.

Cassie sighed, "it's okay, I'm getting used to it"

Tap... Tap...

"Oh what is this?!" said Cassie looking at the water that fell right on top of her head

"Wow, it's leaking. Why is it leaking?" Cassie got up from her seat, picked up a container that could hold water, and placed it on the sofa.

"Sorry sir, it's not usually like this" Cassie said while looking at Lucca.

"It's okay, it's normal."

For who knows how long Cassie and Lucca were silent, they were lost in their thoughts.

'Where is Kevin, why is he taking so long' Cassie kept looking at the door, hoping that her brother would come and rescue her in this situation.

"Sis, I'm here!" shouted Kevin, staggering, as if he had drunk some alcohol on the way.

"Kevin! Are you out of your mind? Why did you drink on the way?" Cassie walked over to her brother and invited him to sit in the living room with Lucca.

Kevin smiled, "Sis, this is the happiest day I've ever had. I finally have a new brother who doesn't get angry easily like you," he shouted like a drunk with his hand raised right in front of Cassie's face.

Cassie paused for a moment, patting Kevin's hand lightly, "This kid, you're a troublemaker. Sir, please forgive my sister." Cassie said, I don't know how many times Cassie apologized to Lucca, you can count them yourself.

It was getting late, Kevin had already finished at least two bottles of alcohol. While Lucca had only taken a few sips, she had no intention of getting drunk tonight.

Tap... Tap... Tap...

"Wow... It's raining so hard, when will it stop," Cassie said while looking out the window.

"Brother, you can stay here. You can sleep with me." Kevin said, waking up with a slightly wobbly head.

"Get some sleep, Kevin" Cassie ordered

Cassie looked around, "I think I need to fix the roof a bit" Cassie got up from her seat.

"You..." Cassie stopped, "I'm used to it, no need to worry," Cassie said as she took an umbrella from the box by the door.

"I'll help you," Lucca said, making Cassie look back.

Cassie looked Lucca up and down, "oh I can take this coat off," Lucca said as if she understood Cassie's gaze.

The sound of rain was more clearly heard when outside, Lucca was currently on the roof justifying the roof tiles that were slightly blown by the wind. While Cassie watched from below.

Lucca came down soaking wet, "Sir, come here," Cassie said as she ran over and shaded Lucca's large body.

Not wanting to linger outside, Cassie and Lucca rushed into the house. The mess was saved. One of Cassie's feet stepped on a puddle, a few seconds later her body staggered and was ready to make contact with the cold floor.

Grep...

You guessed it, this scene was like something out of a movie. Cassie's head was caught by Lucca's large hand, which was now directly above Cassie's body.

Cassie felt that the oxygen in this room was getting thinner, her eyes and those brownish eyes met. Even now, Cassie could smell Lucca's breath.

'What is this, why... My heart is pounding?' Cassie said to herself.

Lucca stared at each sculpture of Cassie's face, still the same as when they first met. Her neutral gaze stopped at the point where the pink lips were.

'May I?...' Lucca slightly thinned her distance from Cassie. Cassie's body seemed to be locked, she couldn't move as the small face slowly approached

'What kind of situation is this?! ' Cassie thought.

"Oh you want to sleep with that handsome guy?" chirped Kevin, making the two people who were in an emergency stop their activities.

Cassie pushed Lucca's body, got up, and repositioned herself. 'Damn, my clothes are wet'

"Alright, I'm going home." Kevin smiled strangely "Have a good night" he shouted from inside the house, letting this awkward situation last a little longer.

"K-Kevin! Where are you going?" cried Cassie, worried about her drunk brother.

Kevin turned around, raising one hand up "It's okay sis, I understand. I'm going home, have fun haha" he shouted at the doorway.

'What should I do? Cassie closed her eyes

"In that case, I'm going home too," Lucca said making Cassie turn around

"Then change your clothes first" Cassie closed her mouth tightly. Lucca was stunned by Cassie's words, 'I knew it' she smirked inwardly.

"Did I say something wrong? How stupid, what if Mr. Lucca thinks something strange" Cassie grumbled inwardly.

"E-e I mean, you can borrow my clothes if you're not comfortable in those wet clothes," Cassie said quickly.

Lucca pulled the corners of her lips slightly, "Well, I think I'd like to borrow a sweater instead," she said.

Hearing Lucca's words, Cassie turned around intending to get the clothes that the man needed. "Wait, wait a minute," she said while facing Lucca.

Cassie took a small run to her room. Closing the door tightly, and turning her body behind the door.

Cassie took a breath, her hand felt her left chest, and could feel her heart beating twice as fast as usual.

"Huftt... What's wrong with my heart?" she muttered.

Cassie's mind drifted back to the situation when her body was crushed by that man's large body. His wet hair, his handsome face looking down at her, and his muscular hands on either side of her head. Cassie could even see the man's glistening cleavage. So sexy.

Cassie shook off the images, "I think I'm going crazy," she grumbled.

The sound of the door squeaking distracted Lucca, it was Cassie who came out in a different outfit than before. In her hand was a pair of clothes that seemed to be for her.

Cassie thrust a pair of sweaters in front of Lucca, "I think this is enough for you, sir" she said.

For a few seconds, Lucca was glued to Cassie's face, her simple and makeup-less appearance making her eyes unblinking. "Oh yes, I'll give it a try," Lucca said.

"You can change in the restroom over there," Cassie said to which Lucca nodded her head in reply.

Lucca walked towards the restroom Cassie indicated, coming out a few minutes later in a dark green sweater suit that was a little tight on her body.

Cassie laughed to herself, "ekhem... How is it, sir? It looks like it's too small." Cassie squeaked

Lucca's hands adjusted the clothes she was wearing, "Oh, I see... I see. But it's okay I'll wear it," Lucca said feeling bad for complaining about the woman's clothes.

Cassie gave a small nod, her eyes looking towards the window. The rain had stopped, only the sound of thunder could be heard from outside.

"Looks like the rain has stopped," Cassie murmured, which Lucca could hear.

Lucca followed Cassie's gaze, and sure enough, the rain had stopped. It looked like her plan was going to fail today.

"Ah yes, the rain has stopped," Lucca said, 'ruining my plan' she muttered to herself.

"Then I'll go home now," Lucca said, distracting Cassie.

Cassie got up from her seat, "I'll walk you to the front" Cassie said.

It was still raining tonight. Cassie stopped at her door, looking at the man who was currently walking towards his black car.

Lucca smiled and waved before finally getting into her car, Cassie waved back hesitantly. After that, the annoying black car that had bothered Cassie this morning sped through the humid streets tonight.

Cassie flopped onto her bed, staring at the ceiling blankly. Suddenly, her gaze darted to where she saw Lucca wearing his green sweater, the man's broad shoulders were clearly visible and even the pants he wore showed the muscles of his legs.

Cassie turned her body over, covering it with a pillow, "ARGHH... I'M ALREADY CRAZY" she shouted.

'My plan failed. But it looks like I can get her easily' Lucca muttered as she raised one corner of her lips, and a few seconds later the black car sped into the black tunnel. And disappeared.
