Two weirdos

"There's no one else in this house but us" Lucca smirked

Cassie was transfixed for a few seconds. Cassie's hand pushed Lucca away and walked somewhere.

"Aren't we going to a meeting Sir?" Cassie said, closing her eyes to neutralize her panting breath.

Lucca chuckled as she looked down, turned her body around, and caught up with Cassie.

"Looks like we'll have to postpone the meeting," Lucca said.

Cassie stopped her steps, her body automatically turning around. "Then I'll go home first," Cassie said as she pointed to the main door.

Lucca walked over with the glass of hot chocolate she had made earlier and gave it to Cassie's hand.

"Follow me," Lucca said, leaving Cassie confused.

Various ornamental flower plants were neatly arranged at the back of this magnificent house, for the umpteenth time Cassie was again stunned by this house.

The garden lights and moonlight tonight adorning the beautiful flowers of various colors, Lucca stopped at the guardrail.

Cassie slowly approached Lucca, joining in to enjoy the cool night breeze on her skin.

"The flowers are so pretty," said Chassie, still captivated by the sight before her.

Lucca smiled slightly, "yes, I know," he said.

Cassie raised her eyes, "The moon is really pretty tonight, too."

"Yes, very pretty," Lucca said

"Sir you-" Cassie stopped her speech, her eyes now meeting the brownish eyes of the man beside her

Lucca smiled, very sweetly. It was the first time Cassie had seen that smile.

"Yes, very pretty," Lucca said with a look that didn't leave Cassie's puzzled face.

Cassie blinked her eyes a few times, "ekhm..." Cassie tried to neutralize her throat

'What's wrong with Mr. Lucca today? Why is he so different' Cassie muttered to herself, wondering what was going on at the moment

"Ah... This hot chocolate is perfect" Lucca said, breaking the silence.

Cassie nodded in agreement, "Yes, it's very delicious. I think you'd be a good fit to open a chocolate cafe," Cassie said, changing the awkward atmosphere a little.

Lucca chuckled, "I think so," he said.

"Wow, a shooting star!" Cassie shouted and automatically closed her eyes in supplication.

Lucca's gaze went to the sky, the shooting stars that kept passing above made Lucca's heart smile wryly.

After that Lucca closed her eyes, following Cassie who was still making a wish.

Cassie opened her eyes, her lips smiling automatically when she saw Lucca making a wish with her eyes closed.

It was already eleven o'clock at night, Cassie got out of the car.

"Thank you sir for today," Cassie said after spending some time with the man in front of her.

Lucca smiled and nodded, "yes, have a good rest," he said.

"Sis," someone's voice caught Cassie's eye, and Lucca's too.

"Kevin, where from?" asked Cassie, seeing her brother emerge from the dark alley.

Kevin's face was expressionless, "I was waiting for you." said Kevin, after looking at Lucca.

"Then I'll go first. I'll get back to you later." Lucca got back into the car and left Cassie's yard.

Cassie looked at her younger brother, "What's with that look," Cassie said feeling uncomfortable with the look in her brother's eyes.

Kevin was silent, he didn't respond to anything.

"Come on in, you must not have eaten yet" Cassie put her arm around Kevin's shoulder.

A second later Kevin brushed Cassie's hand away roughly, making Cassie startled.

"Where are you from?" asked Kevin in a stern tone, his eyes even seemed to want to pounce on Cassie alive.

Cassie smiled awkwardly "Kevin, what's wrong with you?" asked Cassie trying to touch Kevin's hand, but quickly Kevin again brushed it away

"Are you drunk?" asked Cassie still curious about her brother's behavior which she thought was strange.

"No, I'm not. I'm not drunk. Where did you go with that guy?" Kevin asked, making Cassie's forehead furrow.

"I didn't go anywhere with him, I had a meeting. Hey come on, what's wrong with you Kevin?"

Kevin laughed discordantly, "Haha... You had a meeting? With her? You didn't sell yourself to her did you?" Kevin chided, making Cassie glare.

"Kevin! Watch your language!" snapped Cassie.

Again Kevin laughed, "Sis, I'd rather live a poor and miserable life than have to live on the illicit money you're making." Kevin said,

Cassie's chest rose and fell, "KEVIN, KEEP YOUR MOUTH. When did I give you that ill-gotten money? I work Kevin! I worked my ass off to pay for your life, your schooling, everything. But what are you talking about?!" Cassie snapped,

Her eyes heated up. Her heart felt like it was being slowly cut out of her when she heard her brother's words. Cassie didn't understand what Kevin was saying.

"Cih... I wouldn't even want to live with a slut like you." Kevin said, this time making Cassie raise her hand which managed to land on Kevin's face.

Plak

Kevin fell, his right hand grazing his hot cheek. Kevin's face looked up at Cassie, Kevin puckered his lips.

The movement was spontaneous, Cassie had no intention of slapping or hurting her little brother. Cassie's feet slowly stepped closer to Kevin.

"Ke-Kevin, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to slap you, I didn't even mean to hurt you." Cassie said with her heart racing.

"Don't look for me," Kevin said getting up from his position.

Cassie's hand tried to hold her little brother's hand, but for the umpteenth time, Kevin again brushed it away.

"Kevin!" cried Cassie as her vision slowly faded.

Cassie's heart beat faster, her breathing seemed to be stopped by something. Even her head felt like it was going to burst right then and there.

Cassie's hands scooped up her head, her eyes closed as the pain continued to attack.

'I'm sorry, Kevin.' Cassie muttered to herself.

Cassie's body was completely floating at this moment, her vision had already darkened. But Cassie felt something holding her body from falling.

Lucca looked at the woman on her lap, her face was so pale that even the red lipstick she was wearing couldn't cover the pale color on her face.

Seconds later, Lucca lifted the small body onto her lap. A moment later, the locked door opened slowly as Lucca's finger pointed at it.

Lucca walked into the unoccupied house, depositing the small body on the bed inside.

The body had completely lost consciousness, Lucca stared at each chiseled little face.

'Can I make you a victim?' he muttered to herself.

A few seconds Lucca was still in the same position, standing next to the bed that had a woman sleeping on it.

As Lucca's hand slowly grasped the cold hand, could see her forehead frowning as cold sweat poured out.

Quickly, Lucca released her grip again.

'I can only consume her energy.' he said.

Sunlight penetrated through the glass window of the room, making a woman frown slowly.

Cassie got up from her sleep, her hand feeling her head which was slightly sore. Her gaze wandered around the room.

"Since when did I fall asleep here?" she muttered.

"Is this a new symptom?" she said

It was a holiday, Cassie brought her breakfast on the way because she didn't want to be late for her appointment to meet someone.

The taxi car stopped right in front of the large building that people often call a hospital.

Cassie's feet stepped inside, walking down every hallway that was filled with all kinds of people's expressions.

The man in the white coat took a breath, "This, this is the point that adds up" he pointed to the monitor screen that displayed the results of Cassie's head scan.

Cassie was silent as she listened to the doctor's explanation in front of her. It had been more than a year since Cassie had visited this doctor, and at every meeting, Cassie would only remain silent.

"How long? How long will I be?" Cassie asked, really getting to the point.

The doctor rubbed her eyes, "your age, probably about a month or so" she replied, really making Cassie smile wryly.

"Cassie, remember. No one knows age, it could be that my prediction is wrong if God's plan is different. You shouldn't give up, who knows a miracle may come your way" said the man, encouraging Cassie who was now lowering her gaze.

Cassie took a breath and raised both corners of her lips widely, "yes, of course. I'll be more eager to make more money." said Cassie making the doctor in front of her completely amazed by Cassie's spirit.

"I like your spirit, Cassie."

"But Doctor, are there any new symptoms that might appear due to my illness?" asked Cassie still curious about her position who woke up in the room this morning when she remembered losing consciousness outside the house.

"Umm... maybe. What is it, are you feeling any new symptoms?" the doctor asked trying to trace

Cassie raised her gaze upwards, trying to recall the events of last night.

"Last night when I got home from work, I was still outside the house and my head hurt after that I don't remember anything like I passed out. But, the strange thing is that when I woke up this morning I was in my room." Cassie explained, pausing in her speech.

"Are symptoms like memory loss affecting me?" Cassie continued.

The doctor seemed to think for a moment, "Yes, some people who have diseases like yours do experience such symptoms." he explained.

After hearing the explanation from the doctor who had been treating her, Cassie planned to visit her best friend. Cassie didn't know, it was just that Cassie wanted to spend more time together with her best friend.

Cassie pressed Hanna's name on her cell phone screen, and not long after, a loud voice came from the other side.

"Yeah, what's up?" said Hanna from the other side.

Cassie laughed lightly, "Are you free?"

"I think so, what's up?" Hanna replied.

"Let's get drunk tonight. It's on me" Cassie said making Hanna on the other side of the room excited.

"Okay, I'll come to your house later," Hanna said excitedly

"No, I want to drink at your house instead," said Cassie

"Okay, fine. I'll wait for you" said Hanna

Cassie lowered her gaze after the phone line was completely disconnected, her eyes looking at the call log with the name 'Kevin'.

'Can I let you live alone in this cruel world?' Cassie muttered remembering her argument with Kevin last night.

Cassie's feet automatically stopped as two pairs of shoes stood in front of her, Cassie raised her gaze.

In front of her stood a blonde woman and a tall, fat man.

Cassie stepped to the right, but the two people in front of her followed her. Likewise, when Cassie stepped to the left, they would follow her.

"Excuse me. I'd like to pass," Cassie said.

The blonde woman who had a hawk-like gaze grinned, "You're Cassie?" she said.

Cassie frowned, the two people in front of her looked familiar to Cassie. But Cassie couldn't remember who they were.

"Yes, what's up?" Cassie said.

The stocky man behind seemed to whisper something into the ear of the blonde woman before him.

"No, no. I'm just asking," she said, then waltzed away after.

Cassie frowned, wondering what the two strangers meant.

"What's wrong with them? That's weird" Cassie said with a small shake of her head and left the hospital grounds in the taxi she had booked earlier.

"Something's wrong with her," said the blonde woman who was still standing in front of the hospital, watching Cassie's departure.

"Yes, but I feel a very weak energy in that body." said the stocky man.

"I want to have it" he continued
