All hail the Prince

Ozuna took Ola under his nest for a week, taught him how to defraud foreigners of their money and possessions, he bought Ola a laptop and sent him to go learn from those who taught him for a whole month. Ozuna promised to send Mary money for upkeep during that time and he kept true to his word.

Ola met a lot of boys at the hotel; he saw a handful of girls too. All these people had come to learn to make money; the country was hitting everybody in the right places. He met a boy of fifteen and when he asked the boy why he wasn't in school.

The boy responded "four of my brothers are graduates and good ones but they can't help mama around the house because they don't have jobs, they are forced to do menial jobs that fetches them little or nothing. My neighbor on the other hand didn't go to school; he is a prince. He owns a mansion and three cars, I choose wealth. I will not suffer like my brothers before me."

Ola wanted to advice the young boy because when he looked at the boy, he saw someone akin to Mary. But what would he tell the boy; He himself was there. What word of advice should he tell the lad and the boy was right, he himself was proof of the broken system. It still didn't sit well with him that this little boy was here, learning to defraud people.

Ola made sure h e was close to the young lad whom he would come to know as Isaac, the boy even had a Christian name. "Oh Negrando what have you done to your children, what have you led your young ones into?"

Aside from Isaac, Ola made a few friends during the learning program. Lisa a girl in her mid twenties and Rob; a young man in his thirties. Lisa was pretty; the kind of girl that could land a rich man for a husband and never have to work another day in her life but as Ola would come to find, she had an independent spirit . Lisa was not the kind of girl that would leave her fate in the hands of another.

He and Lisa blended immediately because she was a very smart girl. He overheard her conversing with a guy at the counter and as he listened, he knew he wanted to be friends with her immediately. She knew what they were doing was wrong and she didn't try to justify it like Ozuna and the others.

"…you are not taking anything back from the foreigners oh. Those that colonized you are long dead and these people we are about to learn to scam of their money are not in any way guilty of the sins of their ancestors. I'm here because life is hard and all…let's not justify our wrong doings" Ola had heard say to the huge dark guy and even though it wasn't a popular opinion among the others, he knew then that she was good company.

Rob on the other hand was a funny man. He would crack jokes that would get the entire room laughing and he seemed mature in the way he handled things. On the day of arrival three guys got into a fight about hotel rooms and it was Rob that settled the fight. He made them laugh and made sure they were at ease and then he shared the rooms with wisdom. He was one of those guys you could call a natural born leader.

The four of them were now a team. You could find them everywhere together except of course when Lisa was going to the rest room. Ola thought that since they were in the hotel for an illegal activity it wouldn't be an organized function. He was wrong.

They had resource persons and they were ushered into the hall to sit and listen to the resource persons speak on the art of defrauding. It was a broad concept and they were taught different ways 'to hook a fish' as the resource person called it. They were taught different things from understanding that they were the 'Robin Hoods' of the internet in that they were taking from the rich to different ways to hack into servers and keep a low profile.

One resource person even sold them his book 'how to not get caught' he titled it. Of all the things that happened at the camp nothing shocked Ola and his new friends like the fact that they were asked to sit for examinations. Ozuna had explained to Ola the need to keep a low profile because the organizers and the resource persons had large fraud companies and they would want to pick the best from each batch to work for them.

Ola explained to his friends and they all agreed to fail the exams as they all wanted to operate independently, all but Isaac. He said he would want to work for the big names and gather experience before branching out on his own.

On the final day, those scored the highest in the exams were picked and Isaac was among the highest so he was picked as well. They closed the camp with a word of prayer from one Muslim and one Christian .Lisa made a joke about how ironical it was that they wanted to defraud people of their hard earned money and they were praying to God to help them do it "if there is a God up there, I'm sure He would not answer this prayer" "He better answer oh, we would be needing it." Rob responded and they all laughed.

They said their 'good byes' and they dispersed to their various locations. They had been friends for a month and even though the circumstance they met was not a good one maybe their friendship was a good thing. Ola enjoyed Lisa's company especially for they saw things alike.

Ola returned to Ozuna and Ozuna who he thought paid for his learning out of sheer goodness told him he would be expecting double of what he paid for his one month learning and the money he sent to Mary for upkeep "nothing goes for nothing my friend" he told Ola.

Ola got straight to work so that he could pay Ozunna back his money as he requested. He felt cheated and back stabbed because he felt his secondary school classmate was doing him a favor. Ozuna was asking him to pay back double and the time span was not much; he should have known better than to trust someone who defrauds people for work.

When he was learning, it felt easy. The resource persons made it look as if you would just text the foreigner and they would respond like they were waiting for you to talk, it was harder than they made it seem. Ola had worked for a week without 'catching any fish'.

Ola got a call from the village .His sister was not getting any better, he went back to the village and brought her back to the hospital in town. The doctors said he would need to get her in for surgery as she had a growth in her lung and they were requiring 1 million Negrado notes to start. Ola met Ozuna to lend him the money but Ozuna refused; he claimed if he gave Ola the money, Ola would be relaxed and he wouldn't make head way.

Ola had decided he was going to do whatever it took to make sure he sister stayed alive. He surveyed the social texting app for more foreigners and he found Jane. Jane was a wealthy woman in her sixties; Ola was half her age but his conscience was dead already, his sister's life was on the line.

He had been talking to Jane for over two weeks now telling her how much he loved her; their chats were even turning to texting and they had exchanged nudes a couple of times. Jane had offered to get him a plane ticket and a visa so he would come to Ingand to be with her but Ola was putting her off

Ola used the oldest trick in the book with her; 'The Negrando Prince trick'. He told her he was a Prince and his father the king had just died, the king makers have held unto his father's possessions and as culture demands, he had to bail the throne and his father's riches with two million Negrando notes. He promised to return the money once he was back on his father's throne.

Jane had already fallen in love with Ola and besides two million Negrando notes didn't cost as much in Ingand currency so she sent Ola the money. Ola paid for Mary's surgery and it was successful. He also paid Ozuna back his money and still had money left over to rent a house in town. He and Mary moved their things from the village to the town. He had started leaving the life he felt he deserved.
