Pregnant Bride

Dr. Ymir began his examination by checking Regina's vital signs. He gently lifted her wrist to take her pulse, his trained fingers detecting the steady rhythm of her heartbeat.

Next, he shone a light into her eyes, observing the pupils' reaction to the stimulus. Regina's eyes flickered slightly, but remained mostly unresponsive

He also performed a quick neurological exam, testing her reflexes and muscle tone.

After completing his examination, Dr. Ymir reviewed Regina's charts and test results. He noted that her brain activity was normal, and there were no signs of trauma

Dr. Ymir's eyes narrowed as he studied Regina's charts and test results. Something wasn't adding up.

He had ruled out any obvious injuries, infections, and illnesses, yet she remained unconscious. A sudden thought struck him, and he quickly called in a nurse to administer a pregnancy test.

"Let's check for something a bit more...unexpected," he murmured to himself.

The nurse returned with the test results, and Dr. Ymir's eyes widened as he read the positive result.

"Well, well, well," he said softly, a small smile playing on his lips. "It seems we've found the reason for her unconsciousness." He spoke to himself, afterwards a frown appeared on his face.

Wasn't she supposed to be his friend's son wife? They weren't even married yet and as far as he knows, Damian doesn't have any kind of relationships.

" I'll be discussing this with Fredrick. Who knows, maybe his son is in some kind of relationship with her before their marriage. "

Regina's eyes fluttered open, groggily taking in her surroundings. She was met with an unfamiliar ceiling and the steady beeping of machines. She tried to sit up, but a sharp pain shot through her head, forcing her back onto the pillow. As she struggled to remember how she got there, a figure in a white coat walked into the room

"Good morning, Regina," the doctor said with a warm smile. "Welcome back. My name is Dr. Ymir. You've been with us for a few hours."

Regina's mind raced as she tried to piece together her memories. "Where...where am I?" she stammered.

Dr. Ymir nodded sympathetically. "You're in the hospital. You were brought here after falling unconscious. But don't worry, you're safe now."

Regina's foggy mind slowly began to clear. She gazed up at the doctor, her eyes squinting slightly as she tried to place him.

Then, it hit her - the realization that this was THE Dr. Ymir, the medical legend, the one whose lectures she wished she attended, whose books she had studied, and whose expertise she had admired from afar.

Regina's eyes widened in disbelief as she stared at Dr. Ymir, her mind racing with excitement and a hint of embarrassment. Was she really being tended to by her medical hero? She felt awestruck by the great doctor's presence.

"Dr. Ymir?" she whispered, her voice barely audible, as if she was afraid to break the spell.

Dr. Ymir smiled kindly, his eyes crinkling at the corners. "Yes, young miss. And don't worry, I'm here to take good care of you since I'm a close friend to Fredrick."

Wow! The respect! Regina's face flushed with a mix of emotions - shock, gratitude, and a hint of fan-girl excitement. She felt like she was in a daze, as if she was dreaming up the whole scenario.

She was really here, in an Hospital, being treated by the one and only Dr. Ymir. The thought sent her heart racing with excitement, she almost forgot all her problems at that moment.

Just then, a nurse bustled into the room. "Doctor, I've got the charts right here—"

Dr. Ymir interrupted, "Actually, Nurse, could you please go and inform the family members that the young miss is awake? They've been waiting anxiously."

The nurse nodded and hurried out of the room.

Regina's mind raced with concerns. She tried to speak, but her dry throat barely managed a whisper. "W-what about the wedding?"

Ymir looked amused by her question and raised his brow. " Of course, it was cancelled. You passed out."

" I know... But did Mr Damian show up?" She asked in a low tone, feeling unsure of what she wanted his reply to be.

" Sadly, he didn't." He replied sharply.

She looked at the man for a moment, although she was excited to be in his presence, her mind also wondered to the fact that they'd have performed tests on her already...

Meaning... Her eyes widened, but she did her best to hide it. They probably know by now that she's pregnant. But she still had enough time to beg Dr Ymir before her parents or Mr Frederick himself comes in. She still needed to hide that fact from them.

" So, Mr Ymir. Do you have any possible conclusions to why I might have passed out? " She asked cautiously.

The man paused for a moment before replying. '' You seem fine to me, young miss. Please put your mind at rest. "

" That's it?" She asked with an unsure feeling.

"Is there anything else you expected me to reveal, young miss?" He asked with a soft chuckle. This man!

He was just as cautious as Mr Frederick. Any wrong words, and bam! This means he knows about the pregnancy. He was just waiting for her to ask about something that might sell her out. And she gullibly fell into his trap. He was observing her ?

" No, it's nothing, I was just wondering how serious the case might be. " She forced a smile. This wasn't the way she imagined she'd be meeting her idol. What would he think of her?

" Mmm, you're perfectly fine. But I've got good news for you though. " He added with a smile. Surely if there was something between his friend's son and her, she wouldn't mind. It would be great news that an heir will be delivered into the Harrisons family.

He would reveal the news to her in front of Fredrick and their entire family once they've entered. She seemed to know about her pregnancy already.

' I can't be too hasty with conclusions though. I'll have to wait and watch. ' He said to himself as his gaze travelled towards the entrance.
