Helen?!

Sasha settled into the plush couch, her eyes shining with excitement as she chatted with her best friend Athena. Fresh out of college, she was eager to start this new chapter of her life, and her engagement to her fiancé was just the beginning. She was only 23 and since the contract would be finalized soon she decided to celebrate.

Her dark hair was pulled back in a sleek ponytail, revealing her sharp jawline and piercing brown eyes that sparkled with anticipation.

Athena listened intently, her expression a mix of curiosity and skepticism.

As Sasha gushed about her upcoming engagement, Athena raised an eyebrow, her voice laced with a hint of mockery. "Oh, Sasha, you're finally settling down. How the mighty have fallen."

Sasha rolled her eyes, her smile unwavering. "Hey, someone's got to keep me in check. And besides, I'm not settling, I'm upgrading."

" Damian Harrison is quite handsome and respected, oh my gosh. Gina was so stupid to have actually accepted Flora's idea back then, now look at what it led her to." Athena grinned with pride, clearly trying to gain her friend's favor.

" I know, right? At the end of the day she ended up murdering herself. " Sasha shook her head pitifully, with a fake look of concern.

"Mmm" Athena nodded with her lips pressed into a thin line.

Athena had secretly harbored a deep attraction to Damian Harrison, her friend Sasha's fiancé, since the moment she met him. His dark, brooding aura and exceptional good looks had captivated her, but it was more than just physical attraction.

.

Athena knew it was wrong, that Damian was off-limits, and that her feelings were a betrayal to her friendship with Sasha. If she ever found out, Sasha would definitely have her head separated from her body.

Athena tried to push her emotions aside, to focus on being a supportive friend, but it was no use.

Her heart ached with a secret longing, a desire she dare not speak aloud. She felt trapped, caught between her loyalty to Sasha and her own forbidden feelings for Damian.

" I bet he finds me more attractive. He's never seen her after all, so." Sasha giggled and took her phone from her bag. " Our official engagement will commence soon, I can't wait to be his wife and attain all the power I can get."

The public already knew her as his girlfriend, but she was still a gray nonetheless. The contract has been working in their favour and her family's business had skyrocketed so fast that they were already one of the top ranking businesses officials on the board.

" By the way, Athena, I've never seen you with a man, don't you plan on getting married or what?" Sasha asked with a sneer. It was clear that she was indirectly mocking her, but she kept quiet and only laughed it off.

" I'm undoubtedly the luckiest girl in the world. I'm pretty and blessed." She grinned.

" Super celebrities are going to attend our wedding, we sent invites to various ones who will turn up on the day of our engagement, I'm so excited." She bent forward to pick up a drink from the table with a satisfied exhale. " All famous people, including Helen."

Athena's eyes widened at the mention of that name. Theat mention alone piqued her interest, just like Sasha intended to.

Helen was a enigmatic figure, shrouded in mystery, with a reputation that preceded her. She was the most sought-after surgeon in the world, renowned for her unparalleled skills and unprecedented success rate.

Her abilities were whispered about in awe, with some even speculating that she possessed almost supernatural talents.

Despite her fame, Helen's appearance remained a closely guarded secret. She always wore surgical attire, complete with a mask, gloves, and a cap, making it impossible to discern her features. Her face was a mystery, hidden behind a veil of anonymity.

She moved with precision and purpose, her focus solely on the task at hand, never allowing anyone to catch a glimpse of her.

Helen's elusiveness extended beyond her appearance. She was notoriously difficult to contact, with only a select few possessing the means to reach her.

Those who sought her expertise had to demonstrate extraordinary influence and power, proving themselves worthy of her attention. Her services were reserved for the elite, those who could offer her something in return for her unparalleled skills.

Rumors swirled around her, with some claiming she was a genius, others a recluse. One thing was certain, however: Helen was a master of her craft, and those who needed her expertise would stop at nothing to secure her services.

" THE "Halen?" Athena's eyes almost fell out of their sockets due to shock. This was the kind power the Harrisons hold. Why would they want her to be at the party anyway? She was busy and Athena was sure she wouldn't show up.

" Yes, I had her invited, due to the fact that she might want to meet a promising medical practitioner such as you." Sasha stated proudly, knowing fully well what the woman was now at her mercy. Of course, she did just to look good. But her initial goal was to flaunt her power in front of other others.

" Thank you, Sasha, you really are the best." Athena replied with gratitude and smiled. " How are we sure if she'll show up?"

" The Harrisons invited her, she must not not show up. " Sasha grinned.

" Wow, I'm so glad I'm friends with you." Athena's face lit up with glee as she spoke.

" I know." Sasha grinned. " You're getting irritatingly old, please get married soon, or else you can no longer be my friend, I don't want your influence to rub off on me." Sasha's eyes suddenly looked dead serious as she spoke.

" This is New York, there are tons of rich men out there. You're from a rich family also, so stop acting dumb. "

Athena's face burned red with embarrassment as he heard those hurtful comments Sasha made. " O-okay!"
