Sophia was dumbfounded as Aiden detached his lips from hers and said those words that rang like funeral bells in her ears. Her face turned grim as she was conflicted and the tears that were once brimming in her eyes stopped.

She had to think, think well! 'What should I do? Should I push him away or kiss him back? What would kissing him back connote or make me?'
