CHAPTER 38 Stop Thinking

  Kassandra's POV

He walks near me and pulls me in my hand. "Eat, Kassandra. You didn't eat breakfast."

I frowned. How did he know?

  "I just know. Stop thinking."

His voice is cold, but he cares. What he is showing me gives me a rollercoaster feeling. Why is he still calm? I thought he'll shout at me. And why is he here? Isn't he busy the last few days? He's always out of the house.

"I don't want to shout at you, Kassandra. But hell knows how I am mad."

  There. He finally said it.

"Now, eat." He pushes a spoon close to my lips, but I immediately move away.

  "Where is Father?"

Why can't he just tell me?!

"Stop shouting." He mumbled, probably reading my mind again.

"Answer my question first," I said, my condition.

He sighed, giving up. "He's safe, don't worry."

But that did not suffice for me.

"Why is he not here? Where did you take him? Clayden, can't you just get lost?!"

  Now, I lost it.
