  Solaine's POV

  His words hit me with the force of a thunderclap.

  "You," he seethed, his voice dripping with venom, as his eyes narrowed into mine.

  "I refuse to dance with you," he hissed, his voice barely audible. "It filled me with a deep sense of revulsion and shame, as if I had committed a grievous transgression. I can't quite put my finger on it, but for some reason, I have a feeling you hold the answer," he mused. His words are as cold and lifeless as a barren winter landscape, devoid of any trace of emotion or even a hint of pity.
