CHAPTER 38 I Don't Like Her

  Alfie's POV

"Don't be so pessimistic. Maybe she's just not ready yet. We can just wait and see how this turns out." Liam said.

I could sense Liam's disappointment. Despite his words, I had a feeling that I wouldn't receive a call or a request to meet from Lottie.

Even so, for the next few days, I held onto a glimmer of hope because of Liam's words. I found myself checking my phone more frequently.

I had thought about reaching out to her myself numerous times, but my rational side prevented me from acting on such dangerous thoughts. What could I say to her if I went to see her? Would I demand to know why she didn't keep her promise and confess her feelings to me?

"Well, you could confess to her!" Liam suggested.

Since the last time Liam had convinced me and successfully stirred me up and we didn't receive a confession from Lottie, he hadn't spoken to me for a long time since, knowing he was wrong.
