CHAPTER 92 Buzz!

　　DAVID'S POV

　　Her hands were shaking, and I could see she was starting to panic. I knew I needed to calm her down before we could have a productive conversation.

　　"I'm sorry," I said, taking her hands in mine. "I know this is a lot to deal with. But we're going to figure it out. We'll figure out what to do about Desmond. But first, let's try to calm down."

　　I took a deep breath, hoping she would follow my lead. "Inhale for four seconds," I said, inhaling slowly. "Hold it for four seconds," I counted to four in my head, then exhaled for four seconds. "Did you follow along?" I asked Anna.

　　She nodded, her breath a little less shaky. "Let's do it again," I said. We took a few more deep breaths together until I could see that Anna was starting to relax.

　　"Now," I said, "let's talk about this calmly. What makes you so sure that Desmond would do something like this?"
