"Nalani" Emelia's sweet voice could be heard cooing through the thick doors.
"Nalani, dear, please open the door," she said after a few moments of stillness and a minute of knocking.
I'd been out of Heath's room for an hour or so, but I wasn't ready to open the door or interact with anyone. Being in Terran's presence frustrates me to the point where I want to punch him in the face.
He tried to speak with me several times and knocked on the door repeatedly, but I ignored him and instead read a new book I took from his house library. My original plan was to stay in this room until Heath was safe to go around again, but with Emelia at the door, I have no choice but to answer her.
It would be impolite to disregard her; she is still the pack's leader.
"Hi," I greeted, forcing a smile on my face upon meeting the worries etched across Emelia's face.
