CHAPTER 37

  "For heaven's sake!" Heath groaned as I opened the curtains. The bright rays pierced through the massive windows, shining squarely on his face and jolting him awake from his slumber.

   

  His brows wrinkled as he struggled to acclimatise to the brightness of the room. I could tell that he was cussing the living hell out of me, even though he was muttering inaudible phrases.

   

  "Arise and shine!" I teased, strolling towards his bed and making myself comfortable by sitting beside him.

   

  "The doctor advised me to rest," he replied, grumbling.

   

  "It's been three days; your resting days are over."

   

  “You’re not my doctor.” He said, rolling on the bed and resting his face on a pillow, but I was quick to drag the pillow away from him and watch him grumble in satisfaction.

   

  “I literally spoke with him,” I chuckled.

   

  “Well, you aren’t the one suffering from a silver bullet.”
