NALANI'S POV
"The maids could've gotten it; you wouldn't have had to stress yourself," I added as we headed to the car together. He didn't respond and instead went right to the passenger seat while opening the doors for me. I got inside the automobile.
"I've never complained," he said.
"You're a busy person; surely I wouldn't want to take away your time."
"I'm letting you have my time for now," he said, grinning as he let out a subtle laugh.
“Letting me?” I asked, a brow raised as I stared at him in disbelief.
"Yes,” he nodded.
“Aren’t you the one who offered to take me to the boutique?” I asked, feeling irritated, and the grin on the face wasn’t helping me either.
“I knew you wanted me to, so I did." He laughed, but I hissed. There was no point going back and forth with him, and I didn’t see a reason for the argument; he was just in search of something to talk about, and the smile on his face is as clear as day.
