CHAPTER 49

  TERRAN'S POV

  “Father, I need to speak to you!” I announced, barging into his room to meet him. Sitting on his chair, Emelia stood next to him, and as they heard me, their attention immediately fell on me.

  “Why are you here? Didn’t you go with Nalani?” Emelia asked. She walked up to me as the heels of her shoes clinked against the glossy white tiles.

  “I have other things to do,” I answered, walking past her and making my way to my father, who was now standing beside his chair.

  “What other thing could possibly be more important than saving Nalani?” She asked, and her chest rose and fell as her doe eyes watched me in confusion and shock.

  “I need to make sure none of this ever happens again; none of my pack members should have to live in worry or fear.”

  “You can do that, but you need to save Nalani first. She’s not experienced in things like this.” Emelia said. The tone of her voice increased as she panicked.
