CHAPTER 66

  Day Two.

   

  Morgan did actually punish me by locking me alone in an empty room, just as she had promised. In the midst of the room, there was only a small, lonely stool. The room's walls were white-painted, and the sole decoration was a small white window a few feet above the ground.

   

  It was most likely placed to let in the rays of sunlight.

   

  If I hadn't been in this chamber, I would never have thought such a room existed in the home. What could possibly have happened here?

   

  I sat on the cold ceramic tiles on the floor, with my knees brought to my chest and my back resting on the wall. The lack of warmth in the room brought about extreme cold, but I was made to wear a thin white linen gown with nothing to warm myself with.
