CHAPTER 35 I Won't Let You Down

  Cynthia's POV

I approached her slowly, knelt, and firmly grabbed her chin. I pulled hard enough to dislocate her jaw to shut her up before saying, "Dream on."

I took the mop bucket and poured the filthy water over her head. "You need to wake up and face reality. You lost!"

She was so enraged that her entire body shook. I knew she wanted to curse me, but because of her dislocated jaw, she couldn't speak and only screamed in different tones.

I threw the bucket to the floor, picked up the earring that fell, then left Nancy in the bathroom looking pathetic.

When Logan saw me, he immediately walked toward me in big strides.

"Why did it take you so long?" His expression of apprehension was still present. "I didn't see Nancy, and I thought she had come to bother you again."

I looked back in the direction of the bathroom.

"She did come to find me," I said while smiling. "But this time, it didn't go how she thought it would."
