　　I received Logan's video about the insect eggs and adult insects and began to study them carefully. I headed to the library to gather more information about Pen trees. Pen trees emit a foul scent to drive away most insects. However, a flower called Stinkyflower grows around them. The scent of the flower not only dispels the foul smell from the tree, it makes the tree emit a faint woody fragrance.


　　I researched all the insects that could harm Pen trees and finally discovered the Finch beetle. Although the shell looked different from the bugs in the video, the markings on its abdomen were very similar. I headed to the insect house to examine them closely.


　　The marking on their abdomen was very similar! I spent two days making the powder I needed before going to tell Logan about my discovery.
