CHAPTER 58 All Lies

  Cynthia's POV

That night, we slept in the same bed. He could tell that I was feeling down. He petted my head and hugged me close.

"I hope you know you can share everything with me, whether happy or sad."

I didn't reply to him, just held him tightly, as if by just holding him I could keep him fully.

"Okay, I won't ask you. I'm willing to listen whenever you're ready to talk."

For the next little while, I was torn between asking and not asking.

Which version of him was he really? The one I knew so well or the one who woke me up with a different bouquet every day.

Every time I received his flowers, I decided to ask him, but when I was about to ask, I became timid. I was afraid that the answer I would get wouldn't be the one I wanted. I couldn't imagine how to handle all of that.

Today, Logan went to the company early because he had to inspect the new wood that had been delivered from the Mangrove Finch Pack.
