CHAPTER 11 Different

  Eden gestured for me to sit down, and I took a seat across from him, my heart pounding in my chest. He looked at me for a long moment, his eyes searching mine before he began to speak.

  "Ellissa, I know you don't agree with what I'm planning," he said, his voice calm but firm. "But there's more to this than just a simple attack. The neighboring pack has been stealing from us and also attacking the pack because I wasn't here poaching our game and raiding our borders. They've killed some of our pack members too. And they won't stop until we make them stop and give them a befitting reply."

  I listened to Eden's words, feeling a mix of emotions. On the one hand, I could understand his anger and frustration. But on the other hand, I couldn't condone violence as a solution to the problem. I took a deep breath and spoke my mind.
