CHAPTER 23 Vivian

  "Ahh!" I heard Ellissa scream.

As the pain surged through her body, she collapsed to the ground, clutching her chest.

Panic and fear filled my eyes as I saw Elissa in agony. "Elissa! What's happening? Are you hurt?" I exclaimed, my voice filled with worry.

She tried to speak, but the pain was too intense, and tears streamed down her face. "I don't know. It hurts. Please help," she managed to say, her voice barely audible.

Without hesitation, I scooped her into my arms, holding her close as I carried her toward the packing house.

"I won't let anything happen to you, Elissa. I promise I'll find a way to help."

I vowed to protect her and find a way to help her. As we reached safety, I gently laid her on a soft bed, my hands trembling with worry. Hurrying to fetch Lady Suzanne, our pack's healer, I hoped she would have answers.
